There is a new option with the upgrade to have a quick reply box appear at the bottom of each thread if you want. It's a little text entry box where you can post as usual, but instead of having to click on reply, it's just right there at the end of a thread, waiting for you.

You have to choose to activate this feature for yourself to use it.

Click on "Profile" at the top of the forum, under the news.

Now click on "Look and Layout Preferences".

Next to the option "Use quick reply on topic display:" use the pull-down menu to select "show on by default". Then you will have the quick reply window show open at the bottom of each topic.

If you choose "show off by default", there will be a bar with the word "Quick Reply" in it and a + next to it and you will have to click the + to use the quick reply box every time.

Using it now as a matter of fact.  I like it, I really, really like it.

Well, you can use smileys on the quick post box, but you have to know the code.

The basics like colon parenthesis for smiley, semi-colon parenthesis for wink work, but for the others, it is the word that appears in your posts. You can find out by hovering your mouse over the smiley picture.

When I have a minute or two, I'll post a list.
