Put picture in a PM?

I am trying to put a picture file in a pm, and I can't figure out how to do it. I clicked on the icon to insert an image, then put the file name in between, but it's not working. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the image hosted somewhere or is it on your computer?  I think it has to be hosted somewhere.

Unless the pic is hosted on a site (not locally on your computer) you can't insert it into a PM. Another way to send it, if you feel comfortable sharing it, is trade emails (this is why it's a good idea to create a separate email account that doesn't have your name on it) and then send it that way.
