Fantastic Sassy C! You are doing a great job. I know it's a lot of work.

You're inspiring me to dig up pics of my own home's before/after.

Keep the pictures coming!

Wow, those are *gorgeous* pictures!  It is so exciting to see what a difference some paint and refinished floors can make -- it looks like a brand new house!  Great job!

Okay....so we managed to finish our daughters room last weekend December 23rd!  :yays:

And as promised I have more photos!

This is what the room looked like when we bought the house.

Please note that the floors are the same colour as the window trim! Sick

WOW ~ I LOVE the woodgrain in the floors.   :partee:

Did I read correctly above and the floors were Bright Red like the window trim prior to you redoing them???  If so, double  Sick Sick!

Keep up the Great Work and I can't wait to see more pics as you complete the rest of the house.

Karma,
I agree with everyone else, you do incredible home restoration work!  Your home is gorgeous!
Do you live in Reno, Nevada?  I live in Fernley.
I love reading your posts.  I read some to my husband and we just laughed!
I will be selling my MK inventory back to the company soon!  So glad to have this website for help and great comments from everyone!  Feel like I drank "the koolaid" and lost my senses after trying Herbalife, Amway, Melalucca, Xango and Mary Kay.  At least there are those tax deductions and a lesson well learned about the so-called "you can do it too" MLMs.  I was always struggling to make a profit with Mary Kay.

Don't imagine it too hard, it may induce nightmares...... :teehee:

I'm not sure my right shoulder will ever be the same!

I'm glad you like the finished product.

It's going to be a few months for the next before and afters. We are going to start a big project with the main floor bathroom, which will require completely gutting everything down to the studs...because the bathroom above has leaked water into the main floor bathroom. We have fixed the leaking problem but now we have to repair the damage done over many years that the previous owner didn't notice or didn't care about.  Bash Bash Bash

I can't believe I'm just finding this post! I totally missed it! Sassy- The house looks great (and I think your daughter had lovely taste- you should see the Carolina blue my best friend painted her room at 16- it was a wonder she could sleep at night, the color was so vibrant!! :teehee:)

Can't wait to see the rest. Also, what were the people who lived there before you DOING in the house?! I remember you talking about how much cleaning had to be done when ya'll moved in, but gee!! :doh It looks like they tried to see exactly how nasty they could be while they were living there without the house coming down around them.

Again, Bravo on the cleaning and remodeling you've doen to date. I"m very proud of your progress!!
