Between DH and me, I'm DEFINITELY the more relaxed of the two in regards to household stuff.
Which is a nice way to say that DH is a neat freak and I'm two boxes shy of being a packrat...

Not in this house. The men are the neat-freaks.
*I* am the slob. *sigh*
I wondered if I was the only slob woman in the world! I drive my boyfriend insane. He's a white glove tester. And I'm in the military. I'd better overcome my ways.

I too am a slob woman but not with certain things. With certain things I am VERY particular. I keep my Mary Kay in the best of conditions and I'm a perfectionist. But everything else, I just don't care? That drives my mom crazy. She still believes the woman should do everything!

I try to keep an open mind because I think it's important to keep an open mind and you won't convince me otherwise, no matter what you say so don't even try.

Men (at least the ones I know) seem to have been programmed with a mental block for cleanliness. For example: My husband will gladly do the dishes or any cleaning task if I ask him. However, a mess simply does not exist unless he is physically made aware of it. Its as if I have to pull off some blinder from his eyes, lead him to the sink, and say, "honey, look! there's dirty dishes here and I am busy. I'm convinced its in their mental wiring, but at least he is completely willing to help out once asked. : )

True tolerance is loving someone despite actually disagreeing with them. There is nothing to tolerate if you are not bothered. Honesty and transparency are virtues to be treasured - don't hide your beliefs in the name of tolerance, be honest about where you stand, just do it with love.
