Sorry about that last little post - new keyboard and I'm not used to it.  Anyhow, we've been gone the last 3-4 weekends doing really fun family things but were looking forward to a weekend at home this weekend.  So, it's Saturday night and where is my DH?  He called my BIL to see if he wanted to go to the new restaurant in town.  Um - hello!  Why not consider asking me?  Granted, we would need a sitter and stuff, but still - it would have been nice to get asked first.  I just sometimes get the feeling that he does't want to be around me and the kids unless we're "doing" something.  Just hanging out at home, making homemade pizzas and possible a campfire isn't enough I guess.  When did this happen?  He did ask if I "minded" and I said no but he should know better. 
well, more pizza (and after the kids are asleep, beer!)  for me.  Unfortunatlly.

Teammom -- how typical!!  You need to tell him how you really feel.  Instead of saying no, you should've said YES!! Trust me, my marriage is FAR from perfect (am contemplating divorce as we speak) but if my husband makes me mad, he knows it.  I used to be extremely submissive but have changed a lot over the past couple of years. 

SSW -- OMG.....please tell me that you put your foot down!!

Gosh, if I had enough money I would divorce my husband in a heartbeat.  Today I actually feel like I hate him....

My youngest daughter doesn't have a bed.  Her bed broke about 2 years ago and she's been sleeping on a mattress on the floor of the bedroom she shares with her sister.  I've been on my husband's back about "we gotta get her a bed" blah, blah, blah.

My co-worker was selling a white wicker bedroom suit she had purchased at Pier One.  She paid about $750 for it.  She has kept it in her spare bedroom for about 3 years and it's hardly been used.  It's a full-size bed with headboard and footboard, a tall dresser, and a nightstand.  She was asking $150 for it so I jumped at the chance.

Husband and I were supposed to pick it up one night last week.  It was raining so he said he didn't want to pick it up in the rain.  Understandable.  We were supposed to pick it up today at 5:00.  Then he tells me at 2:30 that he doesn't want to get it AT ALL because he hates wicker furniture and he "doesn't want cheap shit in the house."  (Ummmm....what about all of the cheap shit your mother buys us?  But that's a subject for another day.)  Anyway, it turned out to be a huge fight and basically, my daughter is not getting her furniture because it doesn't have anything to do with her dad and it's an inconvenience to him.  He's just an ass.
