I have lived to see through the pink fog

« Reply #45 on: April 13, 2008, 10:43:19 PM »

MLM's just sucker you into thinking you can possibly make any money at all.  What a joke!!  I HAD to accompany my mother today to a premier jewelry party today and I have to say, I have only been reading this site for like two days but I surely did give that dealer a pink lighthouse card.  Poor thing...how lost she must be.  Especially when I saw all of her inventory...now I dont know if they are like MK but I really wanted to bring her through the jewel fog.
 :console:

Same schpeel!!  "Im doing this for xtra money, to pay off debt, and to spend time with my kids"  I so badly wanted to say ...."hows that working for ya"  Mom would have been slightly perturbed with me though at that point.

Owell.....

Bad MLM
Gonna Get ya :hit8:

According to: http://fashionparamedic.com/?p=357, CL seems to be going the way of Weekenders...

CookieDiva;

Taking someone to a jewelry show is NOT showing them how the business works.  I've sold Premier for a while now and the shows are the easiest part of the business.  It's the shocking amount of work that goes on behind the scenes of any and EVERY MLM.

I no longer sell jewelry or do any other MLM b/c we are taught to tell everyone how 'easy' it is.  You do it, too.  Don't kid yourself.  We are NOT lazy losers.  We are usually already working women who are now trying to squeeze every available minute we can come up with to take on, yet, another job.  Yup, MLMs are nothing more than extremely low-paying jobs.  With a full-time job, I still did 42 shows my first year.  I sold like crazy and netted a big fat zero.  Don't you dare tell me I didn't 'work' my business.

The 'didn't work your business, didn't treat it like you were the CEO, couldn't-hack-it-wear-your-mommy's-bra' excuses just don't cut it and you know it.

You say you have a one year guarantee on all jewelry.  That means when you sell a piece you are married to that piece for at least one year.  Premier guarantees for life.  That's great for the company; it suck for the jeweler.  She has to deal with all complaints, etc.

Oh, btw, I used to sell Cookie Lee, too, so don't bother telling me I dont' know what I'm talking about.

I am the queen of MLM, work your ass off, businesses.  Been doing them for over 30 years.  Come back when you actually have a few decades of MLM under your belt.  Until then, go find another sand box.

Thanks, UpYourCaddy;

I just love it when somone challenges us about MLMs; like somehow the one they are doing is all saintly  :sick:

Many of us on here have worked diligently more than one MLM, so our collective MLM knowledge is vast.

I challenge any do-gooder MLMer to take us on.  C'mon, put up yer dukes! :hit8:

Hi, Baby;

I'm counting on you.

But I do think sometimes I may come on a little strong to a new MLMer.  AFter all, they haven't been crapped on enough by the MLM they are in to understand our position.  Patience, my dear, patience.

Trigger,
As a newbie  MLMer...I have to say the stronger the better... People reading this are looking for the truth as to how this crap works!
I say there is always three sides to a story...theirs...mine... and in between both you find truth (PLH IS TRUTH)... The new MlMer's  would not be visiting this site...if they did not have that bit of unease inside them...subliminal message listen to your gut...no money to be made personally...money only for company! this concludes subliminal message   If you really wanna make extra money open a pet pooper scooper service ( Julie ,Sassy_C....POO TALK HERE  :teehee:)   Use your plastic grocery bags...they multiply in the pantry...use the Pet owners garbage to dispose...charge approx. $ 10.00 -20.00 per week depending on pet size... you can make a killing...and then sell poop to frustrated ex MKs with bags... double your profits... :1lmao: My four boys could never supply enough for all the exMKers!  :lab: :puppy: :lab: :puppy:

Dear Baby;

Oh, my.  That's a great idea.  And you know what?  It's excellent idea for kids out of school for the summer. Get out there and beat the bushes.  Just stay away from the MK lady or any other MLM person who tries to pay you with 'product.'

Sheesh.  I dont' want your product.  They won't take it at Wal-Mart to pay for my groceries.  Can't you just see it now?  Cashier checks out groceries.  You whip out your duffle bag (after all, your purse simply won't hold that much product) and dump a ton of MK skin care onto the conveyer belt.  Cashier looks at you like, wth, as she picks up the phone to call security.  "Nut on aisle 5."
