O.K. I picked the darker side as the "right" side. We thought it looked better with the dark wood. I bought this table and 4 chairs on craigslist for $5O. The wood needs a lot of work, but in time.......... The seat covers were nasty, the woman was young and had too  many kids!!!!!! We peeled off about 5 different layers of covers, each decade since 193O almost!!! Wedecided that we wanted more cushion so we bought 1 inch foam to  put on too. LOVE the chairs now. We spent a total of around $33 all together for the 4 chairs to redo.

I hope these pictures show enough!

A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition.

WWIT, they look beautiful!  Very nice job..why don't you refinish furniture and sell it from your home?  When you get done finishing your set you could easily sell it for a lot more than you paid for it!  I'm not suggesting you sell this set, because you bought it for your home.

WWIT, there is just no end to your talents!  Maybe you and Sassy are "twins" separated at birth  :teehee:
Not identical twins obviously, since you are blond and she is a brunette...but sisters anyway!

Beautiful job WWIT! I really like the chairs! Was it hard? And how did you do it? I've got to do all 6 of my Dining room chairs....I've got the material....but I've not had the time lately.  :teehee:

Oh and I was blonde....natural as a child...but very naturally brunette now!  :teehee:

But my Mother is 57....so I'm pretty sure that we don't have the same Mom.  wink :teehee:

Once again I LOVE your chairs....and please teach me how to do it!

It's really VERY easy, but can be hard on your hands! It helps if your padding is in good shape and if you don't need  to do piping?

We'll chat!

I guess I should have done step by step photo's.
