Kids and renovations are my life!

« on: September 10, 2009, 09:12:30 AM »

So, I put all three of my kids on the bus today for the first time.....I thought it would be great!

Now there haven't been any tears or anything like that.....and I think if I had more plans to keep myself busy I wouldn't have called my husband at work 4 times already this morning....(he thinks I'm lonely  :teehee: I think he might be right!  :laugh3:)

Now I think we need to start a list of "Things to do" (fun things too....non of that boring house work and laundry bits) whilst the kids are at school!

I'll start the ideas rolling...I know that everyone here is great when it comes to brainstorming and fun things to do.  :loveshwr:

A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition.

Start with making a list of all those things you always said you would like to do if you had time, I'll bet you find plenty to keep you busy and have fun too!

besides the above:

read a good book,
breakfast/lunch with friends,
recipe searching on the internet,
take the dog and yourself for a walk, run, bike ride,
take a long walk to somewhere peaceful, scenic and quiet: just sit and admire all the beauty and enjoy the peace and quiet
take a class in something fun you have always wanted to learn to do
meet your husband for a romantic  wink lunch!
have your husband come home for a romantic  wink lunch
if you miss the kids too much, you can always volunteer a couple of hours a week to help out at school

Awwwww, Sassy you are always so busy and working so hard, just take a few days to enjoy yourself!  Love

nice long soak in a bubble bath in the beautiful bathroom you and DH finished last winter

Well Miss Lippie you will be very happy to hear that I did absolutely nothing today....played on the puter....went for a massage (we need to add this to the list....it's a very good thing to do without kids!)

Played on the puter some more....got the kids off the bus, went out for dinner and a glass of wine with the girls....Ahhh fantastic relaxing day....I really needed that.

Countess....I really need to incorporate the whole exercise thing into the kid free lifestyle... :ooops:

I was going to the gym, and for a long overdue pedicure - was being operative.  I have to wait for a Fed Ex delivery that needs a signature - bummer!!!

Twenty Wishes By Debbie Macomber

I read the book which is about friends at different points in their lives and come up with the idea of making a list of wishes: things they?ve secretly wanted to accomplish but never did. Twenty of them and can be anything...was a feel good happy book...but loved the idea of twenty wishes all for me to give myself....any one game?  Does not have to be just deep and profound wishes can be silly and whimsical...but doable....anybody?
