OK this is probably going to come across as being rude, but anyone who knows me knows i usually open my mouth whenever I have something to say, good or bad!

This site is primarily anti-MK, although there is a section for active consultants.  We are dedicated to exposing the "underbelly' of MK and other MLM's

jkoobamk, good luck keeping them all in Mk and more importantly active every month so you can collect your commission.  I do hope you are not front loading them with inventory while visions of $$$$$ dance in your eyes.

And AHEM isn't it against MK policy and IBC agreement to sell MK on the internet anywhere but your MK web site, purchased from MK?

Please take time to read the posts on this site and be aware of the pitfalls of MK and listen to the voices of experience from those who have been in MK!

And BTW, nobody will pay retail for MK on this site..most of us have a whole boatload that we can't unload at wholesale courtesy of our MK experience!

I definitely know all the pitfalls and have read everything out there, but I still thought that was pretty good.  Am I gonna get rich?  No.  Do I have my head in the pink clouds? No.  Am I dreaming of driving my shiny free car around? No.  I'm pretty grounded.  And I didnt take it as rude, just as factual! :puppy:

That really is amazing.  I can hardly get anyone to even try it.  What part of the country do you live?  How did you get six - are they family?

Um, O.K., as the official bubble-buster, I say, "Good luck."  You're going to need it.  I personally love the MK products, but after 3 attemps (hard-working, bust-my-gut, out-there-in-the-face-of-anyone-with-a-pulse attemps, I said good riddance to that part of MK.

My family truly does comes first, and how sad  that it took decades of MLM pain to finally wake me up.  There's not a direct sales co. out there worth the price you will pay.

Keep your wits about you.  Being in since Sept. 19 does not give you even the slightest idea what you are in for.

I'm Back!  My team is up to 14 now.  Someone asked how old I was and the answer is 31 - and no they are not all family.  Actually only one is family and she is basically personal use.  Still not rich, still in debt, still not driving a fancy car.  STILL GROUNDED!  I went off the rails for a little while and loaded up on inventory and am now trying to dwiddle it down, but I am back on course and taking things for what they are!!

As long as you are enjoying it, you know the pitfalls and you can avoid them....I say enjoy and have fun.
It's not my cup of tea and I did not have fun while in MK.  :matoes:

hi jkoobamk,

Please understand that I'm not trying to be mean or hurtful towards you in posting this.  That's not my character.  I just finished reading some of your previous posts and feel the need to express myself here.  My only reason for posting is out of concern for you.

I noticed that you have a HUGE amount of inventory that you are trying to get rid of.  When you order, do you have all intentions of selling all these products at retail or do you order in hopes of reaching a certain prize category/star level?  It's very easy to get caught up in debt in Mary Kay.  When you order, you may have high hopes that you will be able to sell all of it, but it looks to me, like that's not happening.  The total wholesale amount spent on the items you've listed here alone, if added up I'm sure would amout to well over $5000.....  And you've only been in Mary Kay since September 9, 2009?  That is scary to me.  In my opinion (which I know won't even matter to you, but please try to rationalize with me...  For your own sake), that amout of inventory, even just what you've listed here (and you have more than that on your shelves?) is unecessary.  Even for someone with hundreds of customers to service, there would be no need to have that much inventory.

You say that you are staying grounded with your Mary Kay business, but it seems to me that you are spending a huge amount of money on inventory that is not being moved.  That, to me is not being "grounded".

I just thought back to a thread I started a while ago and thought it might be helpful for you to read, jkoobamk.  If you do decide to check it out please try not to take offense to any of the content.  The thoughts expressed are just my opinion and you are, of course, entitled to your own views.  I just thought it might help you put things into perspective and reflect on some of the decisions you've made regarding your Mary Kay business.  The replys generated under the topic would definitely be worth your while to check out as well.

The topic is called (not intended to cause offense), "Playing Store Mary Kay Style" and you will find it in the "All Mary Kay, All The Time" section of the forum.
