Hey, my daughter just got involved in this, and I LOVE IT!  Does anyone else do it?  It's called Girls on the Run http://www.girlsontherun.org/default.html

It's a running program for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls, and it's more than just running.  They do self esteem building activities, nutrition, responsibility...it's really a neat program, and my daughter is eating it up!

Free, thanks!!!  This looks so cool...  The most perfect, darling niece in the world is now in the 3rd grade, so I will be sending this to my sister!

Sounds like a wonderful program.  I wish I knew about this when my dd was younger. She loves to run and has joined a running club at her college. I was so proud of her last year for sticking to her running program.  I'm not much of a runner but I wish I could do better.

If anyone is interested  http://www.guidestar.org/index.jsp  is a neat website. Registration is free and you can search a view many non profits.  You can also view any 990 tax forms that are avaiable.  It's a site that allows us to make wise decisions in our charitable giving.
