Is anyone else FLYing?  This is the best site I have found for helpful hints on decluttering and it's set up for "real" time, doing only 15 minutes at a time!

I became a flybaby about 6 weeks ago, and the difference in the way my house looks is astounding!!!  I am still a work in progress, and have a LOT of decluttering left to do, but just getting the morning routine in place, doing the weekly home blessing, and the 15 min daily missions has made a world of difference!

Another side effect - I lost 11 pounds!  I am guessing through stress reduction and getting my sleep?

It's been about a month for me.  I found out I have ADD. I am almost 40. (WTH?) Anyway Flylady's routines have helped me so much. 15 minutes is perfect for my attention span on some days!  :yays: My plants love it because they are getting watered regularly now. Unlike cats, they won't remind me.

My assignment for this weekend is to put my control journal into my PDA. I need something beeping at me. LOL

FLylady is awesome.  :bliss: Flylady.net if you haven't seen it.

I LURRRRVE Flylady!

I just revisited this thread and had to update on my Flylady journey. I found Flylady in April. I have been trying to follow the routines as well as I can. Not perfect of course but after 4 months I have to say  HOLY CATS! I can really notice the change. It is totally crazy. Yesterday I dropped off a big load of stuff to the Goodwill. I redid my kitchen over the July 4 week.  :faint: I found so much stuff hidden in my cupboards, including tops to pans I no longer have.  :teehee: In the past this crap would have sat in my spare bedroom for months. I got rid of it yesterday! I felt like I lost 100 pounds! it probably was pretty close.  :yays: I have enough cleaning supplies for probably the rest of the year. They were all under the sink in a big jumble so I never knew what I had. I put them all the basement on a shelf where I can see them. I can shop in my own basement.

As far as plants, I have never been able to grow an indoor fern and it always annoyed me. I got one in the spring and I happened to notice how great it looked the other day. This is July! This is the double the time  one has ever survived in my house. LOL I am sure it is because the thing is on a regular watering routine.

I am no longer scared of my closets or spare bedroom.  FLYLADY RULES!

 :yays: Julie!

My bathroom has never been cleaner after getting used to the daily swish and swipe!  I've been working on the bedroom and closets but still have a ways to go!  I  Love the idea of start where you are, even if/when you "fall off the wagon"!

Me too, Tam! I like how she only works on one habit for a whole month.  :ok: I wonder what August will be?

Don't tell Sassy, but I didn't get into the drinking water habit for June (I'm still doing way too much diet coke!) :teehee:

:teehee: That is funny. I do the swish and swipe at night before I go to bed instead of in the morning. LOL Don't tell on me and I won't tell on you!   It does look nice and shiny every day now though! Only problem is that when there is a cat hair or two in the sink I really notice it!  :laugh3:

Well I ususally have 2 loads per day anyways, I don't know how!  I think people break every day while I'm at work, wear our clothes, take showers,  fix themselves something to eat b/c dishes multiple, and of course they have to throw stuff away too - there's no way we have that much trash, and leave before we come home!  :teehee:

Wait - do we have to put it all away on the same day?   :gah:  That's my problem!  I think I'm just gonna donate 1/2 of all of the clothes in the house and then I won't have so much stuff packed into closets - we really don't wear 1/2 of what we have anyways so we wouldn't miss it.

Tam...you sound like me...We have a giant clothing rack (like in stores) with rods on both sides and I just take clean clothes from the dryer , hang them up, take them off the hanger and put them on as I walk out the door, come home and put it in the hamper and start the same cycle all over again.

Now if they would just make hangers for socks and underwear it would be perfect  :teehee:
