Hello everyone! I am new to this site, found it the other day and have already passed it on. When I have more time, will write about myself. I am wondering if I can sell my MK on ebay. I am technically a consultant, but have not ordered since August and have a T next to my name on the INTouch Website. ( I wrote the company an email explaining that I did not want to sell MK anymore and my long list of reasons why.) I would like to use ebay to unload my stuff, but am nervous about it. I have a good reputation on ebay with some positive feedback. Any suggestions? I know I could use another name, but would rather use mine and build up my feedback. By the way, I love the positive statements people have here. I was drawn to this site because it wasn't just bashing MK. There is good info here and if people want to stay in MK, no one is faulting them for it. It just seems like people want to really tell the truth, they aren't just lashing out at MK because they are mad. Well, thanks for your well structured site and all the input everyone has taken the time to post. I think I can actually walk away from MK without placing another order and part of it is due to other woman being honest here and talking about the endless cycle of re-ordering, never enough or the right thing on your shelf!

Mklost! Glad to have you aboard! As far as I know, you can sell MK on ebay, the worst that can happen is MK will cancel your contract and you won't be able to buy any more! Best of luck! Hope to see you around a lot!!!!!!

Hi mklost! Welcome to the site! It is such a great place for information and support... it has helped me a lot, so I'm sure it will help you too! Glad you're here!! As for the question about ebay, my understanding is that it violates your consultant agreement for a variety of reasons, one of which is I believe it constitutes selling in a retail establishment. I wouldn't suggest doing it under your name until you are no longer active because it may terminate your agreement. You may want to keep your options open in case you do want to order or if you want to return any of your stuff. I also considered the ebay thing and chose not to sell while an active consultant because I heard it is something that MK watches and I wanted to be able to return my product and get my money back. However, I don't think they can do anything if it is a "third party" selling stuff on ebay, as long as the auction does not contain any of MK's copyrighted images or information (i.e., the ebay seller should only use pictures he or she took of the product and write their own descriptions). I believe that there is some information about this on Intouch under the Legal section. Maybe you can find some helpful information there. I'm sure there are others on here that may also have some information and suggestions. Good luck to you and great to have you here!

mklost...glad you are here! You will find lots of love and support here! Have you considered returning your inventory for 90% buy back from MK? they don't tell you that you can return product after the first year, but you are eligible to return up to the wholesale amount you have purchased in the last 12 months. For more info check out Returning Inventory. Once you have severed ties with MK you can sell on eBay or anywhere else you like. Good luck!

Thank you, thank you for all your replies. I feel so welcome here. I am still struggling with what to do with my product. I am selling a little here and there, but have debt I am embarrassed to say. Something I said I'd never ever get into!!! I am paying it down little by little. I guess I will just use the trader board here and wait until August to try to unload my other stuff on ebay. I just got into the endless loop of reordering and trying to be the best, having the latest product available in case someone wanted it. I am aggrevated that I am stuck with Christmas packages from three years ago that I can't move, even at half off. My director keeps telling me to offer BOGO, but I have tried all the gimmicks. If people don't want something, it doesn't matter how much it is. I'll tell you, though, it is a relief to walk out to a store and not worry about whethor or not I have lipstick on or if my make up is perfect. I HATE cold (er, "warm") chattering people and have friends who would say, "I'm going to come over and try that makeup one of these days" before they even said "Hi". So frustrating! Well, I will tell you more and more about my experience as I go along. I learned a lot and had a great time in MK (most of the time), but it is not for me. I should have listened to my common sense (and not others) and I might still enjoy being a casual consultant. Don't know if I can do that anymore. Have a great Tuesday! And thanks for listening!

MKlost - I am in the same ! I totally understand, I'm trying to downsize my inventory & have actually found another consultant who joined same time in my area to trade products with so we don't have to order. I'm having an INVENTORY SPRING CLEANING SALE! Send out e-mails to your friends, ask them to forward to everyone on their e-mail list, give a prize to the one who refers the most people - some PCP gift that's in the closet! Stick around, you will LOVE IT HERE!

Well, after much thought and discussion (and prayer), I have decided to send back my product. At the advice of my recruiter, I called to see how much I would get and it is over $1000. When I told her, she added up what she spent last year and now she is turning hers in too! She has been in MK a long time, even won a car, but she said it is not like it used to be. I was shocked that she would decide to do that, but circumstances have changed in her life and it is not something she wants to do now. I felt bad about it, but the 90% guarentee is one of the reasons why I decided to go in. And I have spend a lot of money supporting MK over the last 3 years. Well, thanks for all the info. It is not that either on of us is in to get the company, it is that we want out of debt. I know if we had been selling like my adopted director is, it wouldn't be a problem, but I can't go in debt further over another color "Make-over". I keep getting emails about how the new compact is our "New Best Friend", well for years, I have heard to sell skin care, because color lasts a long time. I have lost my excitment and am relieved that I made this decision. It has been a burden to have this debt and I know it will be so good to get a big chunk of it out of the way. After I sort out what I want to send back, I will check out the trading board and see if I can do to work out something that way. I have positive feedback in ebay, so that should let everyone know that I am good for the product. Have a great weekend!

Congratulations on your decision! It only gets better from here now that the weight from your shoulders has lifted!! I know it was a hard decision to make, but I'm sure you'll be very happy in the end when you are debt free and can leave the house in open toe shoes with no make up!!!
