Admin here (UYC)...
I split this topic off from another board since the subject belonged here. This first post should have stayed with the original post. The question starts with the next post. I mean the things that I bought in the last year....(not 3 years!!!) It's early...the things I bought in the last year, I sold. So all the other expenses....sec 2, website, seminar, career conf, labels, on and on....I have to cover some other way. But I am not buying anymore, so am slowly working down the debt by selling or trading here. Hope it goes well...

Ok I have another question. I have seen a lot of you mentioning that items that were special or discontinued, if you send them back and they are on the pink sale, you won't get much money back. I was told to order lots of holiday items from the sept - dec last year look book. Would I be better off trying to sell them or trade them on here, rather then send them back?

I would return them if you are talking about Holiday 2007. I would return discontinued items and items you don't feel you will be able to sell first.
If the amount you can return is greater than what you currently have, I would return all of it, unless there are items your customers would pay more for or that you intend to use yourself.

Thank you so much. I will do that then. Now, I have seen some other people saying you do not need boxes, I was thinking to help cut down on extra space - that I would take my products out of there boxes. That sounds good right? I just want to maximize my space.
Thanks

I shipped mine in the boxes, but several people have posted that they removed the product from boxes and were able to get more in the shipping cartons, thus saving money!
Be sure that how ever you decide to ship, you request Delivery Confirmation.

Sarah - you may want to check out some additional posts about including copies of your orginal packing slips to get full price for stuff on pink sale. I don't have any experience with this myself but did see it on some "returning MK" posts. Be sure to review them before you ship stuff out - you'll want to include all you can to get the 90% buyback!

If you have products that are discontinued limited editions, but you bought them in the last year, MK should give you full price for them. You paid full price. About items you bought at full-price that are now on pink sale, calculate those at the price YOU PAID. If you actually bought it on pink sale then that's the correct price to use in calculating your total. This is an area where MK screwed me over. I didn't know that I could include copies of my original packing slips/receipts I received in MK shipments and argue for the full amount, and get it. I thought that if it's listed at pink sale price now, then I have to accept that price for it or just keep the item (not a good idea). Since doing my return, I've heard of many ladies including proof of the prices they paid (include w/ your packing lists in ea. return box) and getting the correct compensation for it. There were SO many stories on the net of women getting fuzzy numbers from MK that it made me think MK was hoping the ladies would just be glad to get anything and not bother with the hassle of arguing for the right amount. I called them and didn't have an easy time, in fact the woman *I* got on the phone from repurchasing wasn't so nice. She wasn't mean, she just couldn't imagine that my math was better than theirs. I got a call about a week later w/ an apology and news that an additional check was on its way. Good luck to you! Congrats on your decision, too!

Thank you again for the advice. I still have my orginial printouts. But the thing is, the company sent things mixed, I am shipping back my stuff by category such as Timewise with Color and Fragrances with holiday. If I send back my printouts from my orders - should I just put them all in one box?

I don't have experience in this area, but to be safe, you could put a copy in each box that has those items and highlight the item being returned with the price you paid for it. Good luck and let us know how things are going and when you get your check!

I wouldn't give MK your originals, just make copies for them (you'll need your originals for taxes). Also, I would only do this for products in question. Things that have changed price (price went up or down, or the item went on pink sale where it went way down) are the things you should include proof for, and I would just include that one page with those items highlighted. On your main list of all the stuff you're returning, I'd maybe put an aterisk by all those items and at the bottom put (*see page x) and then number the original packing slips MK sent you in orders and staple it all together.

Hi, I have another question. I do not know if this has happened to anyone so I am just going to try it. My director frequently gave out prizes such as a mineral powder for a guest or an eye shadow as an MKU prize. Can I return these items or because I didn't purchase them myself, I cannot return them? I also am wondering about things we received from Career Conference. I haven't used any of it. Can I return that? Thanks for all that answer.

As long as you return unused product that totals the amount that you are eligible to send back, it doesn't matter where it came from.

Thank you. I am just so worried about doing anything wrong. I am trying to be really careful in everything I do before I ship my products out.
