A few week ago I got a postcard in the mail saying Estee Lauder would have a gift with purchase at my favorite local department store.  I threw it away and didn't think anything about it.  This week I realized I didn't have much foundation left.  I absolutely LOVE Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation.  (If you like medium coverage, give this a try).  While at the local department store I saw that now was the gift time.  Lucky me.

So let me share what a "real" gift with purchase contained:
1 FULL SIZE lip stick- Value $17.00
1 FULL SIZE eye shadow- Value $17.50
1 small size mascara- Value I don't know we will give it half price based on size $10.50
1 10 day supply of Advanced Night Repair treatment- Value no idea but based on full size probably $20
1 Pure White Linen purse spray- Value I don't know I'll guess at $20
1 nice zipper bag approximately 9x13 in size
1 nice small bag approximately 7x3 in size

And you got to choose between 2 lipsticks/eyeshadows (warm or cool).  How nice is that?

I think you only had to spend $25.00 to get this nice gift.

This is so much better than the crappy MK GWP I had to buy and give away.

Attached is a picture of the gift.

WOW!!!  Way better gift with purchase than MK......I was always embarrassed with the "gift" with purchases with MK, so I'd always throw more in...even though it was coming out of my pocket.

I'll have to give that foundation a try Ginger, I use medium coverage beige 300, do you use anything close to that?

Yes I did.  I think that's exactly what I used during the summer.  Pre MK I used Revlon ColorStay.  I liked it, but they have changed it since I used it.  I've not tried the new formula.  I went with Estee Lauder because of the ease of trying samples.  Check your local department stores, I know 2 around here are doing GWP.  But even if they are not, I've found Estee Lauder counters nice and willing to let you try with no pressure to buy.  If you ask, they might even give you a small sample.  It's really small, but it would allow you to try it out at home a few times.  If you try it, let me know how you like it.

I love the Lauder gifts and PWP's. They are so generous and the totes are always great. I used to work for Lauder and looked foward to these. They do them around Mothers day and Christmas too. Love em!

Thanks for the info Lori.  I didn't know you worked for Lauder.  What did you do?  Any other "insider" tips you can share?

I did quite a while ago. They have a shipping plant here on Long Island so we got alot of goodies. I was a sales person in a small pharmacy before I went into the pharmacy area. That was about 20 years ago. Lauder is very generous to its employees. In fact Estee and her family were customers. I'm not sure if she's still alive but she reminds me of Mary kay Ash.
