I so want to try Bare Minerals now after reading your posts! I'm desparate to find a new foundation as the MK I'm using doesn't stay on long at all! It wears off within a few hours! Ugh! How do I get one of these "sample packs" ya'll are talking about?

The samples come from Lynn, she's a regular poster here. Here is her site: www.beautyblisscosmetics.com. You can also PM her from this board, or contact over her site, and let her know your MK foundation and she'll help you match it to her products and then you can get some samples ordered. You won't regret it - they are awesome!

Warmth seems a bad choice for cool skin tones or light skin. It didn't work for me, that's for sure. (I'm a neutral) I looked like a clown wearing it, It's much better suited to women with warm complexions. I agree with that! I just threw my Warmth away......wwaaaayyyy tooo orange. I love the rest of it though.

Going to try Bare Minerals. They let you do a payment plan and you don't have to host a party to do it!

So, I ended up tossing my bared minerals after a couple of weeks. First, whenever I touched my face, it came off in little balls and second, I couldn't find a color to match my skin....both of the light shades they sent me were way too yellow....and the warmth was VERY dark, orange almost.

So, now I'm looking for a new foundation. I've been using MAC studio fix and I used to love it, but my skin has changed and is now much drier than it used to be, so I think I need a liquid foundation. Any suggestions? Maybe I should start I new thread for that question.

www.beautyblisscosmetics.comLynn have fabulous mineral make-up, and her samples are only 1.25!! My skin is also dry, and her make-up is wonderful for it... She has dry skin too, plus is irritated by the chemicals in other minerals, so she made one that really works! She is also a member here, so you can just email her with any questions you have...

And the samples are pretty good sized (or, depending on how you look at it, you dont use as much as you would think) so I am still using the samples I ordered MONTHS ago.

I went through the same thing---my skin got a little dryer again, esp. during the winter, and I thought the minerals were actually enhancing dryness and settling---so, I switched back to liquid. I kept one tub of my minerals to use during the summer when I just want a little protection--- I'm using Stila liquid and like it---it's very moisturizing andtheir colors are more on the neutral side. Not cheap, but I think it will end up lasting me like 8 months (bought it in March, still have a lot in the bottle, and I use it every single day) I was a b.m. lover, but I think it's better for normal/combination skin---not dry skin for sure. You need something w/ a bit of moisture in it i.m.o. bop

I looove bare minerals. I won't ever use anything than that from here on out and my dermatologist also gave it the thumbs us. I love how smoothly it goes on and how smooth it makes my skin look. I have cystic acne Sick and am being treated for it with minocin and retin A after after using the MK cream to powder and liquid foundation . Alot of the redness/irritation had left my skin after switching to bare minerals before I went to the doc. So I am totally sold on Bare Minerals from here on out. Also, the eyeliner you mix with the primer is fantastic, It stays on no matter what and doesn't run!

good for you! I do think it's a great choice for people with acne, as it doesn't iritate or soak into the skin---it still didn't end up working for me, but that's just the way it goes.
