I found it so funny today.  While we were waiting for a staff meeting to start, a lady pulled out a tube from her purse and started applying on her eye.  Another lady said, "what is that"? It was a highlightening pen from another company.  The second lady said, " Oh, I use that from Mk but it's so expensive."  The first lady said, " It only cost 8."  the second lady said, "Oh I'll have to try it."

Wow, Mk's version is more than double the price of another brand.  That's CRAZY. Boo

Just had to share.

I'd love to know what brand that was cause I have a serious indention that is very dark under one eye and I need it to even it out!  The mineral makeup I'm using does okay, but I still think I need a little extra help!

speaking of MK's highlighting pen...Avon has a lip color that comes in the exact same container. exactly. Its kinda cool, but I have to make sure now, than when I'm digging thru my drawer looking for the lip color, that I dont accidently grab the highlighting pen.

and since I have been searching around looking for other brands stuff, it's amazing what I am finding and how cheap it is! Sheesh, even with my discount lipstick and lipgloss is still $7. I fould some really cool gloss from WetnWild for 1.99. Holy cow! And Avon too..some wonderful lipgloss called Glaze Wear...5 mini glosses for 3.99.

what on earth was I thinking that MK was cool?  faint

Wet n Wild eye pencils are great because they are so soft and they blend a lot better than most of the other brands I've used.  We always bought them for stage makeup when my girls were little--they were ballet dancers, so we were always looking for cheap stuff. snwflake  Reminds me of the Nutcracker....... snwflake

I used to Love Wet and Wild!!!  smiley

Before MK I wasn't a makeup girl, but I was around during the 80s, and wet and wild was the BEST!!  BTW, what on earth were we thinking in the 80s??  I see photos now of myself then and just about pee in my pants laughing!   rofl

Can't wait to try WNW again as I do like a little bit of color now...   giggle

However, I still refuse to wear lip stick, lip gloss and lip liner all at the same time!  Too difficult!  If I am gonna do all that, I am gonna do real art on canvas...   giggle

And whose idea was it to put all three layers on at once?  I bet they didn't take a single sip or a bite to eat the whole time they were wearing them!!!

I still have big hair....I just have too much of it and it's curly.  No matter what I do, it looks like I should have a little Miss America tiara perched on the top of my head.

I do live in the south, though, so the humidity actually shrinks it down a little.  The worst was when I went to a wedding in Wyoming about 10 years ago.  Talk about a big haired girl from the South.  There was nothing I could do with it!  giggle

One of my most fav 80s movies is Working Girl with Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford (whom I'm still in love with!). The makeup and outfits in there crack me up. OH the shoulder pads. The women look like football players! And Joan Cusack's hair and makeup should be in some sort of 80s hall of fame. I don't think she could have gotten her bangs any higher - had to be using Aqua Net. And I think she had about 6 different shades of eye makeup on at the same time. All the secretaries wearing the lip liner so much darker than the lipstick. Every time I see Joan Cusack in those US Cellular commercials now (where she looks quite lovely!) I think right back to Working Girl and get a giggle.

You just couldn't put a price tag on good feathered bangs...

My best friend used to spray so much aquanet on her bangs that a stiff wind was almost enough to make her take off like the flying nun.

Middle school in the 90's, wow! I'm not that old yet, and I?  Let me see where I was in the early 90's.  In the military at Ft. Cambell, KY.  Had my fist baby, got married.  Then before you knew it had my second baby. WOW!  I guess I was somewhat busy!   giggle giggle
