BlueOverPink,

I found this description of Estee Lauder Private Collection

"Estee Lauder Private Collection is an elegant and luxurious perfume with notes of jasmine, honeysuckle, patchouli and sandalwood. A perfect fragrance for special occasions."

No wonder I like it-- I couldn't identify the scents individually, but I love, love, love all of those mentioned separately!

mmm- yes, light blue is on my list of favs too. It is a citrus, but it has some notes of vetiver and amber that give it a grown up quality and also help it last. Every tiime I wear that (I wore that last year all summer) I got compliments- every time. smiley

MOTR: yea--you figured it out. Isn't that interesting? then it helps you to try new things---you can look for those basic notes perhaps w/ new things mixed in and find things you like that way. smiley

So, does anyone know if there is a list of fragrances (old and new) around on the internet?  I want to know what that one was--I could identify the bottle or even recognize the name...  It's driving me nuts NOT knowing.   rolleyes

can you explain the bottle at all? was there a picture on it? Was it an unusual shape? Was a drugstore brand or a designer brand?

It was a fairly narrow royal blue color--the lid and the print on the bottle itself.  It was probably about three inches in height and an inch in diameter.  I think my friend bought it at the PX at Ft. Polk, LA, in 1991 so it could have been from anywhere.  I think.  Who knows what she did....  groan  She was...unique.  Anyway...  I want to say it had flowers in the title but I just can't remember...  I could definitely recognize the bottle, though.  It may have had flowers ON the bottle as well...  groan

Here's a website that sells a lot of perfume.  Maybe looking though would jog your memory.

Burb. Touch:  It's a fresh oriental, sensual:  notes of rose, jasmine, tuberose to name a few all with a base of cedarwood and vanilla.
I've smelled that one- I like it--- though I've never owned that particular one. smiley

Blue bottle--it's a long shot, but Crabtree and Evelyn makes a perfume in a royal blue glass bottle that is tall/skinny in shape-  It smells very nice--- you might check that out. I can't remember what it's called, but I bought some for my mom one year. It's very sensual and feminine---

*sigh*  Nope.  I didn't see it.  I'm guessing it's a cheap perfume that the PX could have brought in from another country.

thanks, though.

Did you find it Snoopy?  Google perfume for sale or something like that.  And try another website.  That's how I found the link I posted, googling.
