Anybody tried any of the new skincare? When it first came out I bought the facial cloths and LOVED them, but now I'm out...need to go to Walgreen's and get some more. They smell so good! I am ALL about smells--can't stand anything that smells fake.
There is so much cool stuff out there these days to try! Target carries an entire line from Boots (English drug store). I bought the toner, but I'm waiting until the last little bit of my Aveda is gone before I break it out.

I wasn't impressed with the Garnier facial cloths other than their scent. It would appear they made my face break out...
They DID smell good, though.

I am so lazy....I hate to wash my face. I don't mind the other parts, toner, moisturizer, etc. but I HATE running the water, lathering up, getting my hair all wet....so I thought they were great. Took care of the mascara and everything. Sorry they made you break out....but they do smell DE-lightful!

LoL--Me too, mom! Me too!!
That's why I tried them. And someone said somewhere that you should use a fresh washcloth every time you wash your face--that's another reason why. Oh well. I'm back to using the ones that you wet to wash...

Snoopy, have you found any other cloths you like? I'm using up my MK cloths because I really like the convenience. I hate running water on my face due to childhood issues so having the clothes make it so nice to wash my face and not have to splash water on my face.

I've used Dove and Olay as well as the WalMart & Target versions of them. They're convenient because I can just throw 'em away when I'm finished--although I can end up splashing water on my face.
I almost like the WalMart ones better. I'm not sure why, though...
I don't like it when the water goes up my nose--and I LOVE to swim. Go figure.

I bought a huge supply of cheap white washcloths and keep a basket full under my counter---I use my face wash but instead of splashing just use one of my white washcloths to clean it all off. I have about 30 of them total, and it isn't a big deal to always have them on hand--an dI don't care what they look like b/c they stay under my sink--very convenient and good for the environment. just an idea.

Well, my bathroom is always cold and it takes forever for the water to warm up, so I just really hate to spend more time than necessary...I, too, have a million white wc in my bathroom for removing makeup, it's just getting the water warmed up and my hair out of the way that I hate....it's easier just to fall into bed with it on than freeze my patootie off in my bathroom. When we remodel it, I swear I am getting those heater coils under the tile!

Hey mom on the run - I have those heated tiles and they're awesome! I even have the tile in our shower heated up the sides to the whole thing is toasty warm. Ask your contractor about that when you remod.

That sounds awesome...I have always had a cold bathroom! At our last house we had a FAB-u-lous vaulted ceiling and huge palladian window in the bathroom--facing north of course--and it was soooo cold. This one is above an unfinished room where we have our pool pump...errgh. I just want a toasty warm bathroom!

Since I started wearing foundation again, I use the Garnier cloths at night. They leave a kind of sticky residue on my face...
I'm thinking, though, that since I've used them four days now and my face hasn't broken out that it was probably just my cycle and starting them at the same time because my face hasn't broken out again.

I agree with using washcloths! I have ton and I use one per day (morning and night wash) I hate the thought of all those disposable cloths rotting is some landfill Hippie at heart!

well---no matter what you use, if you use a cloth w/ the cleanser imbedded in it, you have to get the residue off of your face somehow---which means you still have to rinse or use a wet washcloth to get the soap off your face or you're going to have smeary makeup cleanser film on your skin- yuck. I think the cloths are great for traveling, but I just can't justify the waste. And, if you get 30 at a time for, say, $5--that's $5 a month if you just use 1 a day---or buy a $10-$15 bottle of cleanser that will last months and months-- just seems like a waste, but to each her own---
