I used my black liner on my kids face for Halloween  giggle  (just an excuse to get a new one not MK I am sure !)  This is going to be my first non-mk purchase in 2 yrs!  HELP!   The Lancome girl came  to my office yesterday and I about fell in the floor when she told me how much!!!!
I know they are high end, but does anyone know something from walmart or just under $10 that works?
Oh lancome is about $22 or $23 can't remember exact amount from heart failure!  Their liquid is $26!  I'm poor!  need something cheap and good, I wear very dramatic eye makeup!

TIP!  I am going to try there mascara, it is $19, but she said it has been rated #1 I think in the world but like I said I was suffering from heart failure from the other prices!     Love

Maybeline has a liner that does not run.......can't remember the exact name of it, but I was a faithful user prior to MK, and the cost is around $6.  Applies smoothly, and does not run!!!  I'll see if I can remember what it was called an let you know.  Mascara is a whole other ballgame..........I was in the drugstore yesterday and had no idea there were so many to choose from!!!  I finally just gave up and came home to my old faithful--THE ULTIMATE BY MK.

Another idea for liner---Beauty Biss has matte shadows that can double as liners--mix with a littel water til pasty and apply with a liner brush--VERY LONG WEARING and the look is incredible!!!  samples are only $1.25, and a whole container only $5--definitely worth a try!

I have oily skin.  So this is my experience.

A long time ago, before MK, my favorite eyeliner was a Maybelline felt tip pen.  MK and other eyeliners didn't/don't stay on because of my oily skin.  So in the early days of MK I still used the Maybelline, until someone wanted to buy the "exact same color."  Soon after Maybelline discontinued it.  I just found out that L'Oreal (owns Maybellene) has reintroduced this eyeliner under the name Lineur Intense Felt Tip.  I actually bought one yesterday.  But I overslept this morning and skipped the eyeliner (oh the horrors smiley ).  I'll let you know tomorrow how I like it.

I also bought a mascara by Cover Girl.  It said it wouldn't clump.  It's got an odd brush.  It's ok, nothing special.  I would buy it again, but I'll probably try something different next time.  But for $6.44 it was a good deal.

I highly recommend the books by Paula Begoun and her website, http://www.cosmeticscop.com/  I'm not affiliated, just recently started reading the books and they have really opened my eyes.

Thanks ladies!  I am going to the drug store here in a little while I am going to check it out.  I am funny about Mascara , I have to have a good one or it looks like crap on my long lashes.  The endless was good, I make a mess with the ultimate and the lash lengthing isn't enough, it is something I HAVE to splurge on  giggle  Maybeline used to make a mascara called Lash by Lash and it was perfect!  So of course the stopped making it or I can't find it anywhere.  I am planning on ordering some samples after I run out of some more MK. (can't be soon enough)

It is recommended again and again by the artists -- supposed to be easy to apply and no clumps...  And it is CHEAP!!  smiley

My ultimate is almost gone, and I will be getting some of this soon!

After living with a bedroom ("office") full of MK, it is intimidating to go makeup shopping.  Wish we all lived near one another and we could have shopping day.   smiley

crying  Isn't it sad how MK has taken some perfectly good women and made them less secure in themselves than before they started.  Before MK, I chose my makeup by the cost alone.  I had no favorites nor was I faithful to any.  hmmm, it appears I am STILL rethinking my involvement in MK.  ???

How funny, that's the one I was loyal to for, sheesh, I don't know - 18 years before trying the MK Ultimate.  It doesn't burn your eyes, if you apply it carefully, it doesn't clump and you can put on a couple of coats without it looking funky.  All the other mascaras I've tried burn my eyes or melt or flake off.  Guess I'll go back to good old Great Lash. smiley

Tried it this morning.  It's just like the old version.  So I'm happy.
