Ok, so I have another problem/?????..... After I got off work yesterday I went into the store to see what kind of deals I could find, and ended up at the cosmetics counters.  I tried Lancome pencil and mascara (was ontop of my Mk so it was kind of thick) anyway I started checking prices on everyones stuff Clinique is like 12 or 13(I didn't like it, it smeared really bad) and everyone else is around 20+.  I get to Estee Lauder and start chatting with the manager and Mk gets brought up...she used to work for corp. at distribution and also sold it for a while (didn't like the fake-ness(word?) of it all.  So, she asked me if I would like to work part time there!  I would love it, but this is my problem 20 hrs week(8 hr.days on weekends and some nights during the week) compared to 10(mostly on weekends and I leave when I get done)
It is more money, very similar to Mk but not stalking like MK, you get commission off your sales, you have to meet goals and you get free product!  You have to go to training, and make follow up calls and stuff like that.  My husband doesn't want me gone when he is home, he says that since I really don't "have" to work he didn't want us becoming dependant on that money.  I feel so torn, I don't want to be away from my kids anymore than I am, but I think that this would be fun and I would enjoy most of it.  I guess I am afraid of missing an opportunity.   My job now is very routine, I am in and out in about 3 hrs some days, the most I work is 5 hrs. a day.   crying  Give me some words of wisdom Please!!!!

Here are a few eyeliners I've used in the past that seemed to work well with my oily skin

Thanks Done, I am sure that I will end up purchasing some from walmart.  I forgot to mention that the manager at Estee Lauder gave me my black eyeliner(she had some extra demos!)  wasn't that sweet!  I am going Sat. to get my foundation matched, my iv. 200 looked really yellow the other day.  Has anyone experienced a change in color with different tubes?  I had to start using my demo, so I don't know if its old or what!  I wish I could afford to dump all the MK and get new stuff... all different brands!  happytg

I don't know if the color chaged or what.  But sometimes I notice my MK medium coverage looks a bit yellow and other times it looks fine.  I'm so ready to try another foundation.  But I promised DH I would replace as I used up, not throw it out.
The old MK foundation colors (when they had names and no #) matched me perfect.

Maybe it was more yellow because of the clouds and rain yesterday  faint  I have no idea! I looked jaundice!   I am with you Ginger, my dh is why I am still trying to work it out with my left over mk.  I think he will be a little more understanding in new foundation if it keeps looking yellow, that is a pet peeve of his!  He hates to see women walking around with a different color neck than their face.  (Good for me he keeps me in check if I have a line!)

For mascara, all the makeup artisits like the good old pink and green Maybelline tube...  smiley

Yep, the one that we all used in the 80s!   clap

How funny, that's the one I was loyal to for, sheesh, I don't know - 18 years before trying the MK Ultimate.  It doesn't burn your eyes, if you apply it carefully, it doesn't clump and you can put on a couple of coats without it looking funky.  All the other mascaras I've tried burn my eyes or melt or flake off.  Guess I'll go back to good old Great Lash. smiley

I just bought the ne Cover Girl Lash Exact (it comes in a purple tube).  Allure rated it their best "cheap" mascara of the year.  I really like it so far.

NoPinkHugs,  I use clinique eye liner. Just be sure you use the little end with the sponge to blend it so it doesn't smear.

Your get an extra 30% off everything in the Belk store?  That's a great deal.

I saw in the Belk paper that Estee Lauder had a purchase with purchase.  It was a black snakeskin looking bag with some color products in it.  For a change of pace, it might be worth getting.  If they still have it when I go after  happytg shopping, I might get it.

You know a PT job at Belk is really looking good.  I shop there all the time anyway.  Think they would hire someone who could only work weekends or just a few days a month?

Ginger, I am suppose to only be weekends!  But I fill in when my boss is off. I went and got some Lancome today, she did my makeup and it looks good but we will see..... I can take it back if I don't like it so I'll let you know tomorrow.  I got the color match one, I like the way it feels so far.   No one was in Estee today when I went, so I went to Lancome.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels intimidated/overwhelmed when trying to figure out new products to purchase.  Internet purchasing has been a true life saver for me (cuz I'm 2 hours from a "sorta" real mall and 4 hours from a "real" mall).  I thought it was my inexperience with malls in general that made me feel overwhelmed, but now to read that all you experienced ladies have had the same problems, I feel better.  THANK YOU! smiley

make up forever has the best eyeliners I've ever tried- they go on sooo easily, soft and silky and great colors- and theydo not smudge or move- they stay on-- I couldn't believe it.
YOu can get it on sephora--- where I live that's where I have to buy it, but I love it. Did I say I love it?
I have tried brown and this awesome aqua color that is so vibrant and fun:)
