Ok, I am having a delima. :(   I can't find a foundation that covers well for me!  I obviously used MK for a long time and here recently their foundation is NOT working for me!  I am between a 104 and 204.  It's wierd, the 104 makes me look like a ghost and the 204 leaves an orangish line.

My skin is oily and I have a pink undertone.  I have tried Beauty Bliss and LOVE IT...but it doesn't cover.  I see every little imperfection there is to see on my face and by the end of the day, I have so much shine, it's scary!!!  I use the veil (i think that's the name of it) and also the matifier from MK.  I have tried them seperately and none at all!   I am having the same problem with Everydayminerals.  :(

So now what?  If anyone has ANY suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them!!!

Thank you in advance!!!  smiley

Try med.cov.ivory 104 with ivory 1 loose powder as a finishing touch.
If that's too light, try med. cov. ivory 204 with ivory 2 loose powder.  The medium coverage along with the loose powder should help with the oiliness.
The powder will give you a little more coverage too.
Are you using the TimeWise cleansing system along with your skin care regimen?
Hope this helps.

The medium coverage isnt working for me anymore...I am done with MK foundation.  I am still using TW because I have so much left but once it's done, I am probably done too.  I even called the company and talked to a lady and she told me it was my body chemicals reacting with the MK...

Thank you for your reply!

katty, I have super oily skin and have had no success with MK foundations either.  I used the MC Ivory 200 or the Ivory 204, but I found it turned orange around the hairline and outer edges of my face...this was not a good look, believe me!)

I tried Everyday minerals, but they were really light (almost like loose powder).  I have not tried Beauty Bliss, although I have heard it is very good!

I have had good success with Bare Escentuals.  I use the fairly light or the light along with the Bisque concealer and the mineral veil.  I get great coverage and very little oil breakthrough.  You can purchase at a reduced rate through QVC or sometimes they have an infomercial on TV which is where I first tried it.

If you are looking for something cheaper.  I have used Maybelline Dream Mousse Matte cream foundation. I use the shade Nude and it works fairly well!

Good luck!

I still use the TW C/o cleanser and moisturizer, but when I run out I will probably try someting else as I don't really want to continue to buy MK.

I have been using an Almay foundation for months now and I really like it. You might give it a try. I know they make an oily skin formula. I think this covers well.

Katty, I'm so sorry the BBC and EDM didn't work for you!  www.makeupalley.com has many reviews on foundations if you'd like to read what others w/ your skin type thought before buying.  I don't know how well you can navigate the site w/o joining (which is free), but it's a huge bunch of cosmetics afaciendos (sp?) who weigh in w/ their likes and dislikes about lots of products.  There is also a skin care board where you could direct your questions too.  I'm so tired of buying a bottle of this or a tube of that and using it a few times and not liking it that I'm thinking of splurging and trying Chanel's new Mat Lumiere spf 15 foundation next time I go to a town that sells it.  It sounds pretty good for oily, tricky skin that needs more than a light dusting of powder.  The lady's skin in the ad looks nice too.   :teehee:  God gave us this skin b/c He knew we were smart enough to navigate the many lines of products out there, right?  :nutzo:
