Now that it's warm outside, it's time to show off the toes.  What is your favorite nail polish?  Favorite top and base coat?

If you want a good primer or clear polish, try OPI nail envy.  It's the best.  I used it everyday when I was growing out my nails.  Now I use it a few times a week, if I want clear polish on my nails.

I really need a "good" base coat.  MK base coat never worked, my toe nails would turn yellow sometimes.

I painted my toes today with crappy MK polish, but as soon as I find replacements it's going in the trash.  It's old, probably close to 8 years.  So besides wanting to rid my home of all things MK, I'm sure it's past it's prime.

thanks,
Ginger

I like OPI if I go to get my nails done at a salon because it last forever, but if i do them at home..i swear the stuff I get at the dollar store last just as long and their nail grow and strengthener is the only ones that work for me. I think the brand is called Jordon. They make a lot of nice pinks and reds but also some crazy fun colors too!

I love the neutrogena nail enhancer pens. They're not polish, but my nails used to break, chip, peel, and ever since I took breaks from polish and started using the pen, I actually have to file my nails back they grow so much better.
for toes: who knows. I had so much MK polish that I haven't taken a lot of time to buy polish, but OPI and Essie are wonderful. smiley Loreal has a new pro line w/ flat bruses instead of round, I think i might like that better, so I plan to try that.

Wet and Wild has some of the best staying power. I love to get the cheap ones cause I get bored of the colors very easily.

I like the colors OPI has and they seem to wear well.

OPI rocks!  I had my 1st ever pedicure done last summer (ya i know, but i live in the woods, almost literally) when I was on vacation and that stuff stayed on for a month! No chips! It would have stayed on longer but started looking weird because my toenails were growing out so I took it off.  OPI's website shows all their colors and there's a part where you can try any color on a virtual hand to see how it looks, that part lists even more colors.  Chanel polish has good staying power.  Ever since I started taking this organic flax/fish oil omega 3/6/9 mix my nails have their own white tips that are thick and strong.  I have to file them down constantly.  I can't believe how my hair is growing and my skin isn't acting up like it used to.  I think what we put IN our bodies has much more effect than what we put ON them... just IMHO
