I'm loving neutrogena's healthy skin nightime moisturizer with retinol and hylaruonic acid---it is fragrance free and pretty moisturizing w/o being greasy and the h.a. is an ingredient that attracts moisture and the retinol of course helps to reduce the look of lines and even out discoloration, etc...anyway, I like it. It's in a silver opaqe tube as well to keep ingredients fresh. FYI--you should stay away from jar moisturizers completely. Any active ingredient or anything like retinol etc would be useless after a few openings w/ all of the oxygen that would be let in--plus, if the tube is clear, it's letting in sunlight which is also degrading to ingredients---keep that in mind when getting a moisturizer and save the jars for body creams. I wasn't too crazy about neutrogena's eye makeup remover---it made the skin around my eyes just a bit sensitive---not sure why, but won't get it again. Any suggestions on a good one? Right now I'm using one by Lumene, got it at CVS---it's all right.
I also love stila lip glazes---they are some fun colors and quite tasty too. loving apricot for a nude lip look--it's my fav of the moment.

I have had bad experiences with neutrogena. I had to go to a dermatologist because their products burned my skin so badly.
I stay far away from it, lol.

I haven't liked everything either---but love the healthy skin line.
I tried another retinol product they make, but it had a scent and I didn't like it at all. This one I love and I have sensitive skin---who knows? I have liked things I tried that were "gentle"---I would stay away from any product that contains alcohol, etc.
If you haven't already, you should try paula's choice products- they are very gentle and all fragrance free.

no, havent tried that. I was wondering about their gentle foaming cleanser---I looked at the name of the one I like---it's neutrogena healthy skin anti wrinkle night cream---it's good stuff. It's in the silver tube, not a white one (there is a similar product in a white tube but it has fragrance--didn't like it at all)

I forgot to mention a neutrogena product when I posted the other day. I really like Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30. It does great with my super oily skin. I use it on my face, under my makeup everyday. I also use it on the rest of my body, that is exposed to the sun. After reading about sun care at Paula's website, I see that this sunblock contains both UVA and UVB protection. Many brands fall short on UVA protection.
I bought some $$$$$$ Clarins sublock and I like the Neutrogena just as good. And the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30 is a lot cheaper. It was less than $10 at Target.

repurchased the healthy skin deep wrinkle w/ hyalurnic acid/retinol (silver tube) I like it that much.
Also purchased their pressed powder sheer w/ spf for touchups--love that it has spf and it's very silky-
also love their new healthy skin moisturizer/spf 30 and 45 w/ their new helioplex complex--- highly recommend. they have a lot of choices--- the age shield is good and the new healthy skin one is good. anyone tried them?

Blueoverpink, do you think this helps the wrinkles disappear? I've got a few and I would love to find something to use that's non-prescription. Right now I'm using a ROC night treatment with retional, but I can't tell any difference. Thanks. |

I think my skin tone is much more even, my skin feels baby smooth in the morning, and I personally think my skin looks better. I don't have alot of lines/wrinkles yet--but I do think that this stuff works. Its also moisturizing w/o being greasy- however, a prescrip. strength retinol is going to be stronger---I've also started using paulas choice glycolic acid every other night to see how that works as well--glycolic is another way to exfoliate skin w/o scrubbing--I don't like scrubbing at all on my skin-- word of warning: don't get the neutrogena advanced solutions retinol treatment in the white tube---for some reason it has scent in it---the one in the silver tube is the one I like w/ the hyaluronic acid/retinol---that's my advice there. the other one bothered me b/c of the scent-- make sure you use a good sunscreen everyday, esp. when using any retinol product at night so you don't undo the work it's doing. |
