after utilizing the Paulas Choice website for some info (she's the one who wrote the "dont go to the cosmetics counter w/o me...") I saw that you could order samples of her products for 40cents, so I thought I'd see what her own products were like, and I have to say, I was impressed. Plus, I love that you can try samples- that is kind of cool-

I didn't buy her book, but I did subscribe to her bulletin, and it is quite useful, because it is mostly focused on new products-
I tried the first product recommended by her, a new moisturizer by Estee Lauder and I love it- it has spf 30 and has the types of sunscreens that truly protect against uva and uvb, full of antioxidants, not heavy or greasy, so I am happy w/ her recommendation-

but, of her line Paula's choice, you all have got to try the super antioxidant concentrate! It is a lightweight serum and it's very silky, full of antioxidants, and the next morning after trying it (only a couple drops necessary, so the sample lasted me almost a week) my skin felt sooooo soft! I couldn't believe it!

Anyway, I went ahead and bought this to use at night, it's amazing. It's only like $17 and it feels wonderful-
I also like her salycilic acid products because you can choose from gel, lotion or liquid and they don't contain alcohol (most things like that do, and that irritates my skin and burns) to keep skin free from blemishes- but for some specific treatment products, her line is extremely reasonable and you can try samples of most everything-

anyway, I won't be using all of her line, but those two things are great.

Also recommend the new Estee moisturizer- I'll get the name- but I like it- it's their antioxidant liine, aqua bottle, all of them have spf, this one I'm using is spf 30, which is amazing- it was a little pricey, but it doesn't take much and I'm only using it in the mornings since it's spf-  I'm very happy w/ it-

ok- that's it for my reviews today.

The estee lauder moisturizer I'm using and loving is Estee Lauder DayWear Plus Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Lotion SPF 30, for Normal/Combination Skin   - they have other formulas, but this stuff is great- it's not too heavy, it soaks in, and it's packed w/ good things. smiley

yeah, I was really impressed w/ it- her cleanser samples left my skin feeling silky, not greasy, too-and she has several choices of moisturizers, and there is one w/ spf for every skin type too- the right type of spf- you need to look for either titanium dioxide, avobenzone (or parsol....) or zinc oxide as one of the active sunscreen ingredients to really get the protection from photo-aging- and hers have it (as does the new estee moisturizer I was raving about) -- all of her products are fragrance free as well, if you're sensitive to fragrance- and I like her stuff, as well as trusting her recommendations for other brands and what ingredients to look for- smiley   let me know if you get samples and what you think!

On her website, you can buy samples of her products- as for the estee lauder product, I got it at Macy's:) I don't know if they have samples of it or not, but you can try it and see what it feels like at least- I was looking for a new moisturizer and so I decided to just give it a try- they told me I could return it if I didn't l ike it, so I just went for it. But you can get samples of Paulas Choice products from her website www.PaulasChoice.com   I just heard about the Estee product through Paula's newsletter, she recommended it and said it was packed w/ good stuff. smiley

you're misunderstanding me- I didn't get samples of estee from paulas choice website- I got samples of PaulasChoice brand products fromher website, and I tried the Estee Lauder product at a department store smiley I just read about the Estee Lauder moisturizer through Paula's newsletter- she reviews and recommends other brands as well as sells her own line of skin care/color etc through her website- I just followed her recommendation to try the estee lauder moisturizer because she said it was full of antioxidants, etc... and had lots of good ingredients, and was abetter than anything out by clarins, lancome, etc- so I thought I would just try it. smiley hope that explains it better- sorry!
again, let me know if you try any of these things and what you think- I'm extremely impressed still with my 2 Paula's Choice products that I tried, that super antioxidant serum is amazing- my skin has never felt soooo soft!

Sorry to bring up an old topic.  But when I run out of my TW, I want to try Paula's Choice (antioxidant concentrate and BHA).  Since I know no one who has heard of PC, it's good to see an opinion.

Yes- I tried samples first, and I am totally impressed w/ them. I just got my sis. in law on the BHA product- it's one of the rare products out there w/ BHA and no alcohol-- it works too.
I've also got my husband using their antioxidant spf moisturizers for the daytime- they have the right types of sunscreens to protect from both uva and uvb- that is hard to find as well-

I have also ordered ilpstick samples and liked those as well- I like the creamy ones and th esheer ones- I didn't like th ematte ones- but that is b/c I don't usually like matte lipsticks anyway--

My BHA product has lasted sev. months now- so it's a good value. smiley  gobble2

Funny to read this b/c I got my catalog in the mail today from Paula.   If you order her free catalog to be sent to your home (cosmeticcop.com), she includes skin care samples in it.   I got a cleanser, moisturizer, and BHA samples.    I'll try them tonight - I have heard only great things about her entire line.

I personally didn't like the gel, but I did like both the lotion formula and the liquid formula-- I chose the liquid 2% strength, but I also liked the lotion ones.

Basically, it's personal preference as to the form you like-- but I don't find the 2% to be too strong- I use it morning and night, unless I do some sort of mask or other treatment-- but I don't have any stinging or dryness I guess mainly b/c it isn't in an alcohol base--

the liquid you put on w/ a cotton ball, the lotion and/or gels you can spread on w/ your fingers like you would a moisturizer or something.

Again- order some samples and compare things- that's what I did.  The packets are generous sizes, you can get a couple of uses from them.

I got some samples of Paula's Choice cleanser with a catalog.  Used it last night and wow, what a great cleanser.  Too bad my open timewise will last a while.  But I do have 1% BHA on order from getthatglow.com.  Hope it arrives soon.
