What kind of makeup did you use before you started selling MK?

I used 90% Clinique, so I voted department store.  I used Revlon Colorstay foundation because it was the only thing that would stay on my oily skin.  I wasn't happy with Clinque skincare.  And MK's skincare is what got me hooked on MK.  I now see that it's not so good either.  Being loyal to one brand is not the best for my skin.

I was never loyal to anything until MK.  I signed on to sell it after my DH said one day, "Wow, you look really great!!!"  faint
(faint not really, cuz he is always saying nice things about me) but as I sit here and read over this site I realize that until MK I NEVER used anything but soap on my skin.  And cheap makeup. (with the exception of Clinique foundation because it was the only thing that would cover my 'imperfections'!!

Tried Beauticontrol makeup, and was an avid Cinique Skin care user........their foundations were okay, too, but my skin itched constantly......MK seemd like th Miracle for my skin til about a month into it when my skin started it's same ole routine..........I'm now using a Dead Sea Mineral Skin Care LIne that (saying this with crossed fingers) seems to be working great for my skin.

Prior to signing with MK I didn't use anything consistently.  I liked the Satin Lips set, Satin Hands set and occasionally used the 3-in-1 Cleanser and Moisturizer (when I remembered to do it!) but I never used the foundation (MK) unless I was getting really "dressed" up and then I'd use the MK color cosmetics too (eye shadow, liner, mascara, lipstick, blush).  DH commented that it was like I was transformed overnight from a plain faced girl into a made up one and he was right.  For the 9 months that I "worked my business" (gag) I always had a "full" face on everyday.  Never know who you might meet, right?  rofl

Pre MK I used a mix and match of things from MK, Clinique to Maybelline.  I never wore it with consistency and tried to "put on a FULL FACE" during my MK Days and struggled.  Now Post MK I am back to wearing Make-up when I feel like it or for special occassions.  YES ~ I am FREE!!! bounce

Pre-MK, I wasn't a big wearer of makeup.  I think that I had 1 Covergirl compact that I used as more of a sheer cover (to sometimes help with face shine).  If I wore makeup, it was usually because my sister or cousin "begged" me to let them put some on me (brother's wedding comes to mind right away).  Pre-MK, my husband had only seen me in makeup 2 times - my brother's wedding and our wedding).  Just to put it in perspective - I had been married 9 years before I signed my agreement with MK.

I started using MK skin care in college and off and on after college - the classic skincare line.  Though it didn't break my face out or cause me any skin issues, I think that I was always frustrated with having to find a person from whom to buy product.  So I used other products.  About 2 years (maybe longer) before I started MK, I was using Olay skin care.  I loved it and loved just going into the store and buying what I needed no matter where I was at the time I needed it.

My director commented often about how beautiful my skin looked.  She said this before I signed as well.  The funny thing is that I wasn't consistently using the Timewise system because I hated to use product on myself when I wasn't selling it that much.  So I used it on my face every 2 - 3 days in an effort to make the personal products last.

I also got tired of wearing makeup to "training" and when I was out warm chattering.  So I stopped wearing it.  And guess what?  My director would tell me how great the Dual Coverage looked on me.  I didn't even have any on most of the time.  Just goes to show you how the  Kaybot lie to us.  I would put lip gloss on or a little lipstick, use a sponge or one of those overpriced beauty blotting/tissue paper things and she thought I had on foundation.   giggle

I wore what ever hit my fancy while shopping. I would learn the hard way, when my face would break out. Until MK, I had thrown away more make up, that most drug stores carried..... crying
