MyPinkBubbleBurst: I went to www.drugstore.com and looked up Certain Dri, a lot of people said it worked for them, a handfull of people said it didn't - But I was wondering did you experience the sweat coming from somewhere else, since some testimonials stated they would sweat excessively on their forehead or neck area...I plan to go check it out regardless, especially if you only need it 2-3 times a week, or depending on the severity. Is there a day and night product? And one testimonial stated, not to use an antiperspirant since it only was an onset of sweating and prevented Certain Dri to do its' magic. I'll let you know how it works for me, (being positive)...I think I may of jinxed myself in the post above about my body getting used to Secret...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I've suffered from hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) since I was in my early teens. I have it not only in my pits, but also my hands and feet. Bleah. I have been using Certain Dri for as long as I can remember. I use it on my hands and feet too, at the advice of my dermatologist. Even with Certain Dri, I still need deoderant. The only deodorant that works is Ban. I love Ban. It leaves me smelling good all day.
I've been looking at a kind of electric shock therapy to kill off my sweat glands, but I'm interested in the Secret Clinical deoderant. If anyone else uses it, please post your feedback.
Anyway, hope this info helps.

I found some Clinical Secret..FINALLY...at walmart for $7...something. I have been using it for three days now...no difference yet. sweaty pits suck! i will keep using it ..hopefully it will start working. One thing that i was disappointed about is that you pay over $7. for a SMALL amount of secret. I imagine it will only last a month..IF THAT! we shall see...IF IT WORKS...then it will be worth it. I DO like how they offer a guarantee! if it doesnt work within 90 days you can return it and get your money back. so thats cool. Not that i would actually go through the hassle to do that..ha. but that shows that they are backing their product and saying it works!

But, DO use a deodorant during the day, as Lynn says. I still sweat along my hairline sometimes, but I always have. After the initial use, I found I only need it every 6 - 8 months. Sort of a refresher. Weird I know, because seriously it used to be a huge problem. I hope you find a solution.

Well, I bought the Certain Dri I am going to start using it tomorrow night, since I shaved yesterday- and want to prevent any extra burning etc. I am still using the Secret- yet I sweat a little bit, I am not completely dry, so I mean it worked- to say the least, but I shall venture into Certain Dri Sunday night! let you know how it all prevails. thanks again for all your input

oh man..i have also used certain dri..and something else i got prescribed from my gyno.. anyhow...you definately do NOT want to put it on after you shave! I have made that mistake a few times..not thinking about it.. and OH MY GOSH!!!! it is like i lit my arm pits on fire!! i immediately remembered i had shaved..and i rubbed it off with a wet washcloth!! another side effect of that stuff is that it sometimes makes my armpits itch like crazy.. you cant scratch it enough! The things we go through to get rid of sweat!

My daughters both bought some of this recently. One daughter is away at college, so I don't know how it's working for her, but the one who is still at home loves it. You put it on at night and then use regular deodorant during the day.
Both girls have ruined so many clothes with either sweat or using too much deodorant. Sometimes their shirts would be stiff and I would have to soak them and wash them again.
They used Mitcham...stinky but worked better than most brands. I used the same deodorant for years and then suddenly broke out, found another I liked but after a couple of years they quit making that formula (arm and hammer)...now I'm using Dove. So far, no rashes.

Awesome site MWT! I am signing up for stuff now, I wish I had seen this before I bought Secret- but I just found the receipt- may end up returning it to the company, as mentioned above, venturing into Certain Dri.

I just found the Secret Clinical Strength up here. I decided not to buy it because it's a 1.6 oz tube for $8.00 and has 20% aluminum zt. I use Ban, which is a 2.6 oz tube for $3.50 and has 19% aluminum zt. In my opinion, the extra 1% does not justify the cost. I'll stick with Certain Dri and Ban for now. Just thought you'd like to know.

I love the new Secret. I live just north of Houston and even as hot as it's been, I haven't sweated through my snug, skinny t-shirts. Be sure to READ the instructions. For it to work the best, you need to apply it at NIGHT. I forgot to apply it one night and just put it on the next morning instead, it definitely didn't work as well.
For someone who's always had a problem with sweating through my shirts (even sweaters!) it's definitely worth the cost.

A little off the subject, I read that many celebrities have botox injected in their armpits to stop the sweating and it works for months! I have thought about sending in my DH for that.

Shipnitback has a great point. For most deoderants to work properly, they should be applied at night so they have time to let the aluminum zt do it's job and soak in while your pits are "resting". You can apply more in the morning, whether you shower or not. Anyway, just thought of that tidbit.

First of all Id like to say that i hate to sweat. Luckily i dont have too much of a problem with it but i doooo have a problem with deoderants. I can not wear the same deoderant two days in a row, and i have to always get the sensitive skin versions or organic brands otherwise i break out in a rash every time. So i use one organic brand one day, i use secret platinum for sensitive skin on days i think i will sweat alot, and i wear dove for sensitive skin when i go out. The system works for me. Its amazing how different everyones body is.
side note..i am allergic to anything but gold when it comes to jewelry..do you think the two allergies may be related...like maybe i just have weird skin or something???
