I am a mineral user, but alas my skin has changed once again and I of course was thinking I might need to go back to liquid. As much as I love and have raved about my minerals, all of the sudden at the end of the day my skin looks dry and it seems to be accentuated by the minerals?? My skin is pretty normal, occasional breakouts, but it seemed like the minerals were showing fine lines (and I don't have lots of them yet) and making my skin look more dry and feel tight.
Anyway-- this saddened me. I wanted to try a liquid again, as I havent used a liquid other than MK in at least 5 years. ugh.
So I did some research and decided to try Stila--love some of the other Stila products I've tried, and I have read that they have great foundations. I tried the Stila Illuminating Foundation, and while it's somewhat pricey, I am extremely pleased and will buy it again I like it so much.
I look very soft and natural. It isn't sparkly, but it does have a certain glow about it (one thing I did like about minerals) and it is easy to blend, the color is flawless, and I have a softer look than I did w/ the minerals, and definitely softer and more natural than the MK foundation I had been used to previously.
I think I may be going back to liquid as my mainstay--however, I'm going to keep minerals on hand to use in the summer when I just want a hint of coverage and will be outside more and don'thave to worry so much about dryness.
I highly recommend the Stila for liquid. I'm also still using a sheer mineral based loose powder in the t-zone. But I notice that fine lines aren't noticeable and at the end of the day my face looks just as fresh as it did in the morning, which I also was noticing didn't happen w/ minerals like I wanted it to.
I also got a foundation bruch (Sonia Kashuk, Target) and like that too. I prefer it to a sponge--it's fun to apply that way.
Stila is owned by a makeup artist and they ahve some great products.

love it.
