Did anyone ever get told about the horrifying "eyelash mites" that will make their home in your eyelashes if you don't use Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover EVERY NIGHT?!?!?!   groan  Yep, that was the words of wisdom from my ex-director.

Oh yeah.  I heard about the mites.  I actually like the Makeup Remover, but PUH-LEASE.

Also heard the " chemical warfare " if you mix products with another brand.

Oh, ew.  What are eyelash mites?
Itty bitty bugs that live on everyone's eyelashes and eyebrows.  We all have them.  They are harmless.  They are so small you can't see them.  They eat dead skin cells...

Which makes them exfoliating... a perk to mites I suppose!

ive questioned marykay products the first day i got my kit. i was reading my flip chart and i said to my husband ,"hey u know what would b messed up? if all this stuff they're sayin bout there products is a bunch of crap..." i had to try them for myself b4 i thought bout selling them so i did and they r the best ive ever used and they do really work. but i dont know bout foundation protecting ur face...thats kinda common sense though,i would question that anyway. but i wouldnt say anything to my customers that i wasnt 100% sure about....unlike my director. talking bout goin against rules but she invited me to this ladies open house b/c she thought it b good trainin and she was doing facials for her b/c shes kinda old. well i ended up doing it with her and she gave me 2 of that old womans customers when she wasnt around....i had a bad feeling bout it and i said i dont know,i didnt even know it was against the rules but it didnt feel right. didnt really know what to do so i took them and now that i think of it i might just stop by that lady and see if she wants them b/c those r not mine....

 :1lmao:

I was just reading through this and it brought back memories. HAHAHAHAHA

The main purpose of foundation is to even out your skin tone and provide a base for other makeup. It might provide sun protection if it contains sunscreen or in the case of some foundations for dry skin, it may help retain moisture.

A good place for makeup and skin care questions is cosmeticscop.com. HTH

OMG, I have repeated a number of these lines myself. I'm SOO embarrassed!

How about the wet paper towel analogy? Think of a wet paper towel, what happens if you just threw it on the ground? It gets all dirty, gross, and dried out. BUT if you seal it in a plastic baggie the wet paper towel stays clean and moist no matter where you throw it. Of course we know the paper towel is your face after using the TW 3-in-1 Cleanser, TW Moisturizer and TW Day Solution. That plastic baggie? Why foundation of course! Sealing all of that goodness in and the big bad world out.

Question...I was told (and have repeated) that its actually not important to have sunscreen in your foundation, because it can move around on your face though out the day so you're not really protected. Rather you want the sunscreen to be the first thing that touches your face after cleansing so it can adhere and stay put, hence the TW Day Solution. Did I buy another so-called "line" hook, line, and sinker?

OH MY GOSH!  That paper towel thing is HILARIOUS!  I am almost dying, here!

Yeah, just what I want to hear at a skincare class.... That my face is like a wet paper towel!  HEHE!

But, I'm sure I've said worse.... for the Even Complexion Essence: "It's like a little army of men trolling across your face and breaking up (doing the hand motions here) the melanin in your skin!"  YIKES!  I was such a dork!

 :1lmao:

Oh my cats y'all! Between the paper towel and the army of men trolling across your face I snorted diet coke up my nose laughing and I am at work! Thankfully there are not many people around to witness my near asphixiation.  :rasp: OH man, these are so funny it almost make me wish I stayed in MK just for the entertainment factor. Someone must be sitting around getting completely loaded and thinking these ditties up. LOL
