"wow i'm so very grateful to be a part of this company--i am a different person and am able to share Gods love more because of what i've learned and continue to learn in MK, through the people, i'm especially so thankful for XXXXX and all she has meant to me, i'm also thankful for a career that gives me a free car for my family, a 6-figure income, and the FLEXIBILITY to truly set my own hours, i'm thankful for how we grow as Christian women in MK, and also help others to grow spiritually too, this list could be reeeally long but i'll just say one more thing!  i'm sooo thankful for the friendships we have in Mary Kay, that we can 'work' together and also be great friends too! we're so blessed, happy thanksgiving everyone"This was a guestbook entry on my former national's website...from my former senior...can I just get really pissed about this!?!?!?  First of all, the 6-figure income? Uh, she did that ONE year!!!! Her production this month was 11K, her 13% check was $500, so by my calculations, if she didn't even have any chargebacks (probably did), she made around $3,000 this month in commissions....Hmmmm, that just doesn't add up to 6-figure income on my calculator!!! Growing as Christian women? I can't even begin to tear this one apart! I have seen this woman set aside her ethics so many times to get ahead... But what really pissed me off the most was the 'work' together, be great friends line. She has devastated SO MANY of her "friendships" in this area because, as she holds to this little addage, "iron sharpens iron"! Friendship works with L. when her "friend" is doing well in the business. Okay, so thanks for letting me vent this. I don't even know why I go back to that site. Maybe I won't after today!!!

My husband likes to remind of an old saying that we pass around... "He (She) who angers you...controls you!" I know it is easier said than done, but the best way to heal is to not give these women the satisfaction of knowing that they STILL get to you.  I know, I know!! So here we go again! Got this email from her...boy, I guess I'm pretty much outing myself here, but here goes, who cares. Got this email from Dear Senior Director today...you can tell from the gyst of it what the blurb was about. Yes, I watched it. The part that caught my ear was when she said, "Yes, and Mary Kay gives you a new cadillac every two years!" I'm sure she meant to use the word EARNED- RIGHT!?!?!? Well, what can I say. I guess I'm just appalled I ever thought this was a good thing. DEAR Mary Kay Special Customer!
Yes! It's true!! ~~ Fox & NBC local stations have turned their cameras on our great company AND our great cars!
My Director Girlfriends joined XXX and I to represent our great company!~~ Channel 10 is highlighting that our local GM factory produces the famous Pink Cadillacs for the ENTIRE Nation!!! They're made no where else except right here in XXXX!!! GM's Communication Specialist & Director of the local downtown plant is XXXXX, a consultant in our own XXX Unit! Since our Unit earns one of these Pink Cadillacs every year, WILX asked me to talk with them on camera!
Be sure to watch and tell your family and friends to watch as well!!! THIS Tuesday, Nov. 14th, Channel 10, 6pm news! For each of you who does watch it, and emails me back or calls with a "hey we watched it, good job!" or WHATEVER you want to say, I WILL HAVE A VERY SPECIAL GIFT FOR YOU AT MY UPCOMING CHRISTMAS STOP N SHOPS!!!!
After this airs on Tuesday, you will receive the dates for STOP & SHOP so you can for sure make one of them! (this year we're even having some REAL homemade treats for you!!!!! J and of course your good sales, deals, and Christmas gift from me to you! Sick |

Maybe it's just me, but it sure seems like the old MK PR machine is working overtime these days. They must be desperate to try to counter all the negative publicity they're getting on these board and blogs and lawsuits. Magazine articles in Florida, TV coverage in XXXX and a biography coming out on, was it A&E? Whatever. |

I totally agree that the PR machine is working overtime - there have been articles regarding the cars in the Detroit and Grand Rapids Papers, and now TV specials etc... I think they know they're on the eve of destruction, so they're trying so hard to spin something positive... FFMK - Stop Letting her Get To You!!!! I totally understand, I'm guilty of the same thing - we've got to support eachother out of this though! |
