as far as a men's night goes; i can't believe justme woulod have asked me to go to anything. if she had, of course i would have gone, simply because she asked. i would have had a good howl about it though.
i do recall she went to an overnight last jan, (i don't remember what it was called; career conference or retreat or something like that), and when she walked in the door ALL done up with a pink design nekerchief i remarked that all she needed was a big hat with a huge feather in it and a caddy in the driveway and she could go pimpin'.
again, as i recall that didn't go over so well. (being polite)
I never did ask him to go to anything because I didn't think he would even consider going (hindsight, smart man!  ) And yes, I did come home from the January retreat very much in the fog and was none too pleased with his commentary but I couldn't complain too much as I had just been away from the kids for more than 24 hours and knew that I "owed" him big time! |
