hey uyc--

i know you've done an incredible job puttin' this thing together (god knows i couldn't do it), and it's great. really.  i would like to ask a favor; if it's not too much trouble.  if there could be a thread that is somehow restricted to just the guys.  idunno, password, or honor system that the women won't go.  i dunno somethin.  don't get me wrong,  all you guys are the greatest, serioisly.  i think i have developed a few friendships here, and never in a hundred years would i have thought i'd be online with other people.

the reason i ask is that guys need teir own space. you know, to be guys.  a place where we can and fa*t, and swear and talk sports and do just generally guy stuff without worriyng what the lovely ladies may or may not think of us.  as far as i can tell there are 4 of here now, and maby alot more lurking.  i lurked for a long time, and wasn't sure where or how to jump in for the simple fact that it was all women.

this is ONLY a request.  if possible, great, if not great.  you have no idea how much my wife and i appreciate this site.  it's informative, it's a sense of community, and we have aball when when we come here.

Another board that I post on (gasp, yes, I do wander off from time to time  ) has a special forum geared towards the guys, kind of like this one.  When the guys want to discuss without female input they title the thread "MOT" for Men Only Thread.  Usually works pretty well.

I agree!  Men could use their own space sometimes.  As I sit here right next to dh (me on my laptop and he on the desktop) trying to explain who is who and who is married to whom......I can see where a place to call "their own" would be handy

once upon a time, a girl aptly named 'sickie'  had some pm's,  a glass of merlot (half seven up)(spritzer), was reading a forum on the internet.  she drank half a glass, and started to get dizzy and verry gabby.  finished that glass, and was off the wall.  read some more, and thought it would be a good idea to give a guy from bahstin a hard time.  he gave it right back to her.  not to be outdone, she poured herslf another 'spritzer', rolled up her sleeves and got to work bustin on bahstin guy.  bahstin guy was too tough to crack because he was simply impossible to beat.  after two spritzers, pm's, sickie gave up on bahstin guy (because she knew she couldn't win) and went to bed (ie-passed out).

this girl sicke is resiliant.  she will wake up in the morning convinced that this is the day she will beat bahstin guy, but alas, a cycle of doom has already been established.  the cycle will continue till the end of time.

aaaahhhhh- but the story continues:

sickie will stew AAAALLLLLLLL night to come up with some sort of whitty remark.  she'll refine it, give it more thought, hone it some more,  until it she sees it shine so brightly, there will be NO WAY bahstin guy can possibly have a response to such a well thought out dig.  this is after all BAHSTIN GUY. and no dig can be too well thought out.  but it's done!  now the time to deliver it.  when shall it be?  she'll go on the forum tomorrow and banter back and forth with bahstin guy, buff, gypsy, pb&j, uyc, tank, and many, many more.  when the time is right, SHE WILL STRIKE!!!   HAHAHAHAHAHAH! 'i finely got that bahstin guy  she will think to herself. 'i'm finally rid of that guy hangin' over me'  a sense of pure satisfaction will set in.

BUT WAIT!!!!  bahstin guy wrights back!  one or two simple, off the cuff, non thought out lines will dash all hopes of sickie ever getting the best of bahstin guy.

she will burn inside for days. 'how does he do it?'  she asks herself constantly.  even in her sleep.  ohmygodimarriedwho gets so sick of this, he now regularly sleeps on the couch.

'i will get that bahstin guy'  she says to her self over and over and over again.  'gimme another spritzer' she says. 'and some pm's.  i'm going to bed.  i'll get that bahstin guy tomorrow'  knowing that the endless cycle of doom has already been established for all time. 'resiliance'  she says, as she drifts off to a restless spritzer induced slumber 'resiliance'..............................................................................
