Purple Kudos to you for speaking your mind. It's not easy going against group consensus. One of the reasons why I love this place is that everyone can have their say. My feelings on this matter are, I'd like to tag ex director for being so nasty to my buddy Kathy. She certainly didn't deserve such treatment. What a meanie

Well, I'm with the old timers on this one because I remember how angry I was at my senior director for the longest time. It's been almost 2 years now, and I'm still working through a ton of stuff... I look back at some of my posts and realize the value of working through these emotions on "paper", and yes, sometimes I said some really mean things about Lori that I would NOT want to say to her face. I even remember when PC and some other PLH originals were laughing at how they watched my attitude change about MK and those people I worked with! I think I was hesitant at first, then...well I guess I was more blunt. I am just rambling on here, but I, too want to support Kathy (recognizing that it's okay to disagree-thanks for being willing to listen to all sides everyone!) because I've BEEN THERE and part of MY rehabilitation was and is all about being able to work through my feelings on a board that has the comfort and security of anonymity. If I really meant to hurt my senior and really wanted to hurt her, I would have said those things to her face or in a letter. We all deal with it differently, and I guess I don't think it's fair to not consider the personal journey of those on this board who have in many cases (yeah, that would be me) have been devastated financially and/or emotionally by their experiences in MK. If I hadn't gotten that kind of support here with all the crap I sorted out, I wouldn't still be here one year later, that's for sure! So with my glass raised, Kathy, here's to poetic justice!

Hell, I would have made the B sell me a new dishwasher even if I didn't need one. And I would be a hard sell. Rock on Kathy!

Fav Color is Purple -- no harm, no foul, okay?? I'm just a little sensitive on the issue, that's all. I apologize if I seemed "snitty" because, as everyone knows, that's just not me. To my fellow Old Timers -- I love you guys!!!

Kathy, sweetheart, you're one of the least 'snitty' people I know. I'm not sure how I would have reacted had I seen ex-recruiter in that situation. I would have probably gone up and chatted, but she was and is a good person who had misgivings of her own. Our MK divorce was amicable. Had she been a controlling creep, I would have probably enjoyed a moment of seeing her have to deal with some real life. I never met my actual SD, but she was fully in the fog based on our telephone conversations. favcolor...you seem like a really lovely person who just didn't have all the facts. And I hope you never hesitate to share you opinion about....well, whatever.

Bwahaha, she is working at Sears to pay off that huge MK debt. Well, I'm glad she woke up and smelled the coffee.

Ohmigoodness... Did I just read a thread where people disagreed, but did not get nasty?? Where everyone respected each other's opinions?? I love this board! Kathy, you are ANYTHING but snitty!! You are wonderful person who has supported me through many issues for over a year, and I think the world of you... Fav, how gracious are you? Again, I love this board.

At the risk of being , I'm still going to get on . Is it really fair to to gloat about the change in her life? Just because one has made it out of MK does not mean it is ok to laugh at her current place in life. We've all been at the point when the pink light bulb went finally went out and (in some cases) were devastated to realize the dream we were/are chasing is nonexistent, cruel, and worthless. What she needs now is to know that others have successfully tackled life after MK. Wouldn't it be kinder to seek her out - instead of hiding in the aisles - and invite her to this site. Maybe she even deserves a ? Yes, I realize that she may have not been aboveboard in her recruiting (I'm guessing here?), but give her a chance to change. You may even find out that the you disliked is a pretty decent person who just needs some affirmation that she'll be ok. Having said that, you may now ! I personally LOVE your response and was thinking something very similar.

Either way, the fact that she is out of MK and in an actual job is an improvement.

We had a local director here who was best friends with my former NSD. She basically got fed up with MK and the shady ways my former NSD was running her units. She finally quit Mary Kay and the last I knew she was working at JC Penney.
