I wasn't sure where I should post this question, so if this post needs to be moved, no problem.

On to my question: should I call my ex-director back?  I have been out of MK for two years now, and I received a voice message from her today out of the blue.  As far as I'm concerned, my former director is a nice lady - she was always extremely polite, made me feel welcomed and when I told her I wasn't going to do MK anymore, she was very gracious about it. She's obviously not like most directors I've heard of. Now normally I wouldn't think twice about calling someone back, but I can't figure out why she would call me in the first place.  Its not like I have an order to place, and I have absolutely no desire to host a party, so what could be the motivation? And we're not friends - she "warm chattered" me at my former place of business. So what do you think - should I call her back?  I'm thinking I will because its the polite thing to do, but I was curious what you all thought.  Thanks in advance!

I would probably call her back if you had left on good terms.  It would be polite I think and if you have no ill will towards her, then I can't imagine it would hurt.
AND let us know what she wanted!!  I think you'll be dying of curiousity if you don't.

I'd call out of curiosity as well! Hopefully it won't turn into her trying to re-recruit you or pitch you a sale.   :yack:

Let us know!

I'm sorry to be so skeptical Velocity, BUT, you know full well what her intentions are!!!!!!!! She wants you to resign or have a party or....... Blah blah blah! They are all out for number one and the fact that you left on good terms gives her an in to bug you about MK again!
No, I wouldn't call her back. Good manners just mean that you will open yourself up to conniving sales tactics! I'm sure Miss Manners would agree! I wouldn't call her back, you know why she is calling, you've been there before!!!!!!

Sorry, just my  twocents , but I'M RIGHT!  :loveshwr:  :loveshwr: :loveshwr: :loveshwr: :loveshwr:

What did her message say?  Did she just say "Hi, this is Mrs x-director, call me back" or did she indicate what she wanted?

Please, if you do call her, let us all know what she wanted! It will either confirm our suspicions OR maybe surprise us!

She didn't say what she wanted - she simply said something like, "Hey girlie, its ******.  I haven't talked to you in forever! Do you mind giving me a call when you have a chance, ***-****."   :gah: I think I'll call her this morning, even though I'm sure you're all right.  Oh well, I'll check back in and let you all know how it goes.

I would probably call back to simply see what she was calling about.  The curiosity would be too much for me.

Boy!  I'd call her back like everyone else has said.....she may want to be your consultant.  Also, she probably figures it's about time you  needed product and you have used up all your "old" stuff.  I suppose you should be flattered she called at all.  When I was in MK the FIRST time  (I can't believe I did this again!) I never heard from my director.  I went to place an order on line and realized that I had been terminated.  Anyway......the curiosity would be WAY TO MUCH for me...I'd have to call her.
