Hi Everyone, I didn't see this prayer posting until just this morning! I am thinking and praying for everyone on here, their families, friends and doctors --- I was wondering if you could say a little prayer for me in return...

I've been sick for 8 years with ulcerative colitis. After years of flares (and remissions too!), I decided to have a total colectomy in April. I started flaring again in October, and by March I was in big trouble  :gah:. I've had 2 surgeries - one to take my colon out, the other to clean up sepsis a few days later. I've been running a health marathon - there have been nasty complications (including massive blood clots in my leg) and some major miracles as well.  Ladies... I have one more surgery on June 18th to reconnect me... I'm praying and praying and hoping that all goes smoothly - other than all of this... I'm healthy as a horse! Next summer I'll be running the half marathon for the Crohn's Colitis Foundation in California - any other runners out there, I would love for you to join me  :bliss:. In a few months I'll be back in top health and great physical condition (the trails are calling my name - and my running shoes miss me!) - but right now is kind of a struggle.

Thanks to all of you and God bless you!
Erin

A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition.

oh wow - I'll pray for your healing of course! I'm so sorry you've been struggling with that. Crohn's is no party, that's for sure.  :console:

I have a family member with the same disease, and when she gets flare ups it is just terrible.  She is trying to avoid surgery, but something tells me she will feel so much better and be so much happier if she gets it done!

Let me know how it goes for you, I hope you have a speedy recovery!!

Add my prayers to the others.  You and your attitude are remarkable.  I'm sure you're an inspiration to many.

We'll all be cheering you on during your run.   :yays:
