Icy fingers grip my heart
and the cold begins to spread
With the chill comes the dark
now I'm trapped inside my head.

I try to look around
but all I see is black.
These fears that I battle
won't give me any slack.

But somewhere in the noise
a stronger voice breaks in.
A calmness slowly spreads
and the darkness starts to thin.

I can hear Him clearly now
He tells me not to fear.
For when I'm feeling all alone
I've but to whisper in His ear.

My troubles won't just disappear
But they will not be as strong.
For no matter what my struggles
He'll be walking right along.


Those who are out there hurting right now (& you know who you are) find strength in knowing that even during the hard times you are not alone.  I have made it part of my daily prayers to include everyone on this board, because I know there are those who will not let us know when they are feeling down or having problems, so just know that I am always praying for you! ~ Love Jyp
