A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition.

mkmyway, I'm so glad you still have that positive attitude and I'm looking forward to the day when you are finished and your reconstructive surgery is complete.

You are certainly a "hero" in my book.  Kicking cancer's a$$ with class! Love Love Love

Thanks!!
I'm actually looking forward to deflated hooters!! There's more than one way to get reduction surgery!! wink

First surgery is next Monday - Aug. 4th at 10 something central time. I know she told me a time, I just know I have to be there at 8. The kids are doing okay, they're a bit tired of all the added doctor's appointments and schedule disruptions. Hopefully, I can schedule my radiation for first thing in the morning and start our days off without having other stuff to do. It's definitely a challenge to homeschool through all of this!

But, they're excited that they get to spend a few days next week with their friends, so they won't be thinking about dear old mom for a couple days at least!! In fact, they won't want to come home!!  :csaw:  Guess I shouldn't worry, though. It will be quiet in the house when I get home, and friends are coming to help clean while I'm in the hospital. SO, clean, quiet, peaceful, no children screaming about their siblings giving them atomic wedgies, etc.

I am so thankful for everyone here. It's been a journey to be sure, but I'm so thankful that I'm closer to the end than to the beginning!
Love,
Janet

I know everyone is thinking of mkmyway today, so I thought I would copy the post that her husband just posted and update you all on her surgery!

Out of Surgery
Posted 4 minutes ago
Hi everyone! I wanted to let everyone know that Janet is out of surgery and doing well. She went it about 10:00 this morning and finished about 3:30. She got to her room about 10 minutes ago, and other than being groggy, she is doing fine. It will be about a week before we get the pathology report. Hopefully it doesn't show any cancer cells. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, cards, and everything that you have done for us over the past several months. We ask for your continued prayers through the coming radiation and healing process. Tom Fitts

Janet will keep you in my thoughts and prayers until you are able to post!

You go girl.....one step closer to the end of the process of cure! Love
