My Aunt Teri, who was also like a second mother to me, was killed on the 19th by a drunk driver.

My Aunt was a substance abuse counsellor for the last 15 years and was on her way home from work when it happened.

The womans blood alcohol level was .26, 3x the legal limit.

She crossed over the center line doing 75 mph and hit my Aunts car dead on.  My Aunt didnt have a chance.  The engine pushed the dashboard and steering wheel into my Aunts chest, killing her instantly.  Her car was spun around and thrown into a ditch.

I am absolutely devestated and dont know how Im going to live without her,

I'm so very sorry for the pain you must be feeling right now.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.  May God give you the strength to get through each day.  Take things one day at a time and at your own pace.  I remember how devastated I was when my mother passed away rather suddenly.  I talked to her on the phone 4 hours before she died.  It was totally unexpected.  With His help and the shoulders of my family members I was able to put my broken heart back together and carry on with my life.  You will get through this.

It's a day at a time.  Sometimes it's an hour--or even a minute at a time.  But you will get through it.  Slowly the healing comes.  Just don't let the anger towards the drunk driver consume you.  It only hurts you.
