A substance abuse counselor killed by a drunk driver, wow. . . I am so sorry to hear about your loss, just awful. It sounds like she lived a wonderful life in service to others and God will truly reward her with a beautiful place.

You and your family will be in my prayers through this difficult time. Keep her in your memories and in your heart!  :bskt

I got goosebumps when I read your post....I'm so very sorry that you and your family have had this horrendous tragic event in your lives....Sometimes life just isn't fair! I truly know your pain..we had the same thing happen to our family back in 1981....All I can say is remember the good times, cherish her life and the beauty it brought to others.....

I am so so sorry to hear about your Aunt. I cant even imagine what it would be like to lose someone to a drunk driver. I am already a HUGE anti-drunk driving advocate, and situations like your aunts are far too common.

My condolences.

I wish I had all of you next to me right now so I cold give each and every one of you a huge hug.

You Ladies have been so good to me, and I have passed on your heart felt wishes to my family.

My father is a mess.  He and Teri (my Aunt) were very close and the trust between them was awesome.  My Dad and I have been making sure each other is ok, because he knew how much I loved my Aunt Teri.

My Aunt Teri was the kind of person who gave unconditional love.  If you were going through a hard time, she would say "COmeon over!!" and sit there and get you through whatever it was you were going through.

She was an Angel in human form.  She saved my life and helped me become a better person.

Im laughing here thinking, lol.  When my friends were going through a tough time and I didnt know how to help them, my Aunt Teri would have them come over and help them get through it.  She didnt even KNOW them!!!

She gave me so much and I will forever be grateful to her.

I dont know how Im going to get through life without her.  She knew me inside and out.  Every sick and twisted thought or feeling, deep dark secrests I swore I would never tell a living soul.

I dont have anyone like that now.

She really helped me get my head screwed on right, and what scares me is I dont have her anymore to KEEP it screwed on right.

I loved that Lady like she was my mother and I have this horrible hole in my heart that will stay there until its my time to reunite with her.

God Im going to miss her so much.

Remembering VT victims & families forever

« Reply #24 on: July 25, 2007, 08:07:12 AM »

Sox,   :console: I wish we could all give you a big  :hugme: too.

I know how it is to lose someone so special.  My daughters lost a dear friend at the VT shootings.  What helps us is the memories. Everything your aunt has taught you is in your heart.  When you need it, it will be there for you to draw upon. What she's given to you is going to stay with you for the rest of your life.  What a wonderful testimony to a beautiful life lived.  God bless you and your family!

Ohhhhh Sox, I'm soooooooooo sorry to hear of your loss. I'm sure that your Aunt Terry would want you to go on. Hopefully to continue helping others like she did. So sad that innocent lives have to be lost because of someones bad choices! (((hugs))). Prayers to you and your family!
