...some of you may remember that I tend to avoid the doctor's office as much as possible.  I do NOT like going to the doctor.  Well I have my first GYN appt this afternoon in oh, 13 years (??) and I am a bit bothered about it.  I don't really think anything is wrong, I just don't want to go, but I know I NEED to.

So, please pray that I don't freak out or anything, k?

Thanks!

The doctor appt went fine if totally UNCOMFORTABLE... no OBVIOUS reasons for concerns.  Just waiting for the results now of the tests.  Dr putting me on birth control to see if it will help with physical & mental issues as well as to shortening my cycle which is now a FULL 7 DAYS!!!  :gah:

Thanks you for your prayers and thoughts.  I will let you know what the tests show!

I just read this.  Hope all is well with the test results.  I hate going to the doctor too especially the GYN.  I've only been 3 times.

God Bless!

Praying your test results come out fine. I really hate "those" appts. I had problems when I was younger and had to have one every 3 months for 2 years. It never seemed to get better. I just kept telling myself that in 5 minutes it would all be over. Worst part was waiting for the doctor to get in there and do the stupid thing. I'm glad it's over for you.  Please let us know how the results come out.  :bskt

Jypsi, hope the results came back negative!!   :bliss:

I think we all dread that time of the year...  I have also been getting mammograms since I was 30, and they aren't fun either...  Especially for us small chested girls -- "Um, no ma'am, it won't go any further into the plastic, cold trap from hell!"

I haven't heard back from the DR and tomorrow makes 2 weeks.  Is that a good sign or do I need to call them?

I don't think you have anything to worry about but if you're a little anxious, give them a call. Sometimes Drs. office get backed up. When we get our normal yearly blood work done, it takes about two weeks.  Our Dr. usually sends the report in the mail.  She'd call sooner if something was up.

I agree with the Countess, Jypsi.  If something was up they probably would've called you by now.  My doctor's office always mails a postcard with the "negative" results on it, and it usually takes 3-4 weeks.
