My sister Connie had a routine root canal performed last week.  The dentist gave her antibiotics because of a small infection she had in her gum around the tooth.  On Sunday she started developing an allergic reaction (hives, swelling, malaise) to this specific type of antibiotic.  She saw her family doctor on Monday who gave her an injection to counter the allergic reaction plus two additional medications (don't know what meds or what they are for).

Today is Wednesday and she is still sounding terrible and feeling awful.  She is going to call the doctor this morning to advise him of her status and see what else he can do for her.

She lives about 200 miles from me, is my best friend in this entire world, and I am soooooo worried about her.  Please pray for healing for Connie.

Thank you so much!!

Oh sweetie, count me in on the prayers and positive energy.  I do know that you can feel wretched for a while even after the reaction has been halted.  I felt bad even taking the prednisone after a reaction.

I hope she feels much better very soon.   Love

Thank you all soooooo much!!  I spoke with Connie a couple of times yesterday.  She went back to the doctor, he gave her another shot, a prescription for Benadryl and Singular (to help with her breathing).  She has to take off work the rest of the week.  The toxins had built up in her body from last Monday until this past Sunday when all hell broke loose in her system, so it is going to take a little longer than average for the toxins to leave her body.  She said she still has her hives and her face is about twice its normal size.  I shudder when I think of how close she came to going into anaphylactic shock.  Ugh.....

Never ever EVER underestimate the power of prayer.  Love you guys!!

Oh my!  I am so glad she is doing better, but sounds like she has a lot of recovering to do.  Still keeping her in prayer and sending
positive thoughts!
