I went into the topic on returning inventory and on that link I tried to download the return inventory worksheet and it didn't work. Is there another way to download it? Thanks.

Hmmmm...I checked the links in the two posts here and they work just fine. The link on the page works as well.

http://www.pinklighthouse.com/inventory-return-information/

There's a big blue link on that page that says "Download our Inventory Return Spreadsheet."

In addition, there's a blue starburst graphic on the right hand side of every page on the site that is a direct link to the spreadsheet.

Maybe I am in the wrong area. The one I downloaded was an example. Someone had already written in it.

There's supposed to be a way to use a password to unlock that spreadsheet and be able to add/change stuff on it.  You have to have Excel too, and there's a site where you can download MS Excel free.  When I was doing my return, I didn't have Excel and I only had dial-up internet and couldn't download the free version or get this inventory spreadsheet to work.  I just made my own (almost an exact replica) in MS Word.  I believe I still have it and would happily email it to anyone who needs it.

It has writing on it, yes.

In the fields where you are to enter your name, it says "Your Name" to show you where to type. Same for consultant number and director name.

Below that section, in blue type, are the directions for adding more rows to the spreadsheet.

There is also some sample data entered to show you how to do it.

Just type over things and enter your own stuff.

Hi rethinkingpink, I would love to get a copy. My email is angellove1705@yahoo.com I have good news. I just made the call for my repurchase form. The lady was very understanding. I can send back $8,427 retail back! But the bad part was that I did a product replacement and I got an email of a hold. I called the line and got hassled over by a lady saying that everything a consultant should use should be samples only and that the product replacement line is not supposed to be for us as customers. This is the first time I have had trouble and was really mad that that woman was so rude.

Angellove, that's one of the things they forget to tell you.  YOU are not a customer.

Turn a product replacement in under you pet's name, your best friends name, heck just make up a name.   wink  Make sure it's not for anything  for an amount over $100.  Then it will go through with no problems.  Do it quick before  your return is processed.

Sometimes MK forgets we are the BIGGEST customers  :doh  Obviously they don't subscribe to giving good customer service now do they? :gah:

Good luck! :hearts

Darn it all!  Right after I posted that I went  & looked for it in my MS Word but I guess I already deleted it, as w/ most of my MK stuff.  Maybe it's still in my recycle bin.  If not, I have the hard copy (somewhere... I think it's on top of my dresser - scary!) and could do up the main part and make it so you can add lines.  Can't check the dresser right now as DH is sleeping (as I should be too - too much coffee late in the eve.).  I'll check tomorrow and let you know.

I'm getting a little frustrated by this topic.

There is nothing wrong with the spreadsheet on the site. It works fine and includes all the directions you need to use it.

If you don't have Excel, you should check out Google Docs. It's free. You can create spreadsheets and word processing documents there. You could upload the spreadsheet here and work on it there if need be.

angellove, have you read my directions here? Are you still having problems with the spreadsheet and why?

Hi Ladies,
I am so sorry I did not get back to you. We had a huge thunderstorm yesterdaywith hail and my inernet has been messed up and even now I am having some trouble. I haven't tried the spreadsheet again. Honestly I am still a little confused. So the one that had the writing on it, that was the right paper? I do think Mary Kay forgets we are customers too. Some people come in just to be customers and get their discount.

UYC, I couldn't get the free Excel program downloads to work for me b/c of having such a painfully slow internet connection back then.  Before it was even 1/3 finished my connection would time out.  Was just trying to help.  :ooops:

Hmmmm...RTP, I don't know anything about "free Excel program downloads."  Do you mean that the download took too long because of your connection?

As I said, a great resource is Google Docs for spreadsheet and word processing. You can create or upload documents there and edit them.

Hi again ladies. Thank you all who have been responding to this. I think understand now. The pink sheet MK sends is a way to track what I am sending back with the directions where to send it. But an easy way to get ready is to use the spreadsheet from here, correct? So he best way is go to the page link for it. Now I still do not understand, is there a copy without writing on it?

I believe it is a sample sheet.  You can type over the information  on the sheet with your own information.  If you need more lines for your inventory list you can just add lines.  Hope that explanation helps!
