I've been thinking about sending my inventory back.

I've been trying to sell it at a discount so I can recoup some of the product that I bought, because I thought that with the comercials coming up I was going to get alot of referrals from that, Plus, as long as I'm active I am supposed to be getting referrals to my website, but I have checked when I put in a $200 order and I don't see my name come up when I search for a consultant in my zipcodes.

Anywho, I was rambling there.

The only problem that I'm having is I'm late calling about the big order I had that was $2400, I should have called by June 12th so now if I sent it back I would only get $1035 back. I'm not sure that it would be worth it. So I'm torn, just needing some different views and opioions and ideas of what I should do.

Too, do they give you back the sales tax on it? and who pays the Shipping?

Thank you so much for letting me get this off my chest and mind.

First of all, the website will not get you customers unless you advertise, and MK prohibits it. It's not a magic bullet like it is presented. Just having a website means nothing. Every consultant's site is just a reproduction of every other, just with a different suffix.

You don't receive referrals from the MK website unless you are at star consultant level. So $200 wouldn't do it. It takes an $1800 or more to be in the consultant locator for your zip code. And even when I was active, I found it to be unreliable at best.

You are eligible to send back anything you purchased within the last 12 months.

You pay the shipping to ship it back to the company. I'm not sure about the sales tax.

Don't waste your time having 50% off sales to your customers or other such things. Everyone has seen it before, so it's no deal to them. And most people know that you pay 50%, so they expect a bigger discount. Yes, you might sell some, but not enough.

Okay...now I'll let those who have sent back inventory give you their side of it.

Well, before I decided to returned my product, I struggle with my decision and because I waited I lost more money. But I send it anyway. You have to think that if you don't send it back, while you waited to sell the product will start to get old and the company is changing so much products that is hard to actually to get rid of the old stuff. So don't waste more money and send it. !!!Whatever money you can get is always good instead of letting all that product to waste...  And plus you'll feel so relief getting rid of all that stuff.....  Cheesy wink

Hope this helps! keep us posted!

Well, when I called, I ask how much I can get back and it's not as much as I thought.
But I know what you mean when you say send it back as soon as you can, I have until Aug. 31st. and then I don't get anything, and even this small amout is more that I would get if I sell it because it probably will take me to long and I won't see were the money went. I can pay one small bill off. I will just have to get what I can and get out.

Thanks ladies for the replies, I appriciate it.

You will be SHOCKED at how much you will make from those prizes- anything that has MK on it sells VERY WELL.  I have sold star prizes on ebay in the past couple months and it has gone great.  I say sell the prizes to someone who is still excited, and use the money to pay off your former excitement smiley  Good Luck!

Oh crap - Canadian number, anyone?

I seem to remember this question being asked a long time ago, and we had some trouble answering it - I assume that the MK Canada website does not have this number posted???

Here is the number I found: 1-888-411-Mary

If that doesn't work, call 972-687-4700 (the main MK office) and ask them for the number.

Thanks everyone! I couldn't find the canadian mk phone # on receipts, invoices, etc... After much searching I finally found the # only on the very bottom of the online community page for consultant login in small print. It's hardly noticible. 1-877-411-6279.

I just recieved my from in the mail. So I'll be returning my inventory this week.

Congrats!! I'm glad you were able to get in touch with them and get your form.  It is amazing how you will feel once that stuff has left the house and you are one step closer to separating yourself completely from the company.

Where in Canada are you?  I graduated high school in Ontario.  I understand if you don't want to share btw.  smiley

I'm from Toronto, Ontario.
I still haven't mailed my inventory back yet. It's taking so long just to count the items & calculate the whole sum.
I called MK headquarters in mississauga today & asked about items without boxes that are unused. The lady told me not to ship them back. I wonder if she was just assuming that it's not allowed or if MK really won't give a refund on those. What do you gals think? Should I ship back the unused items that I don't have boxes for?

The lady also told me that the refund process takes 6-8 weeks for me to get the refund cheque after my inventory has been recieved by MK. Sigh!!! By that time It'll already be late October or even November. I was hoping to recieve the money in September so that I can pay for my tuition. Now I may actually have to take 1 term or even 1 whole year off school. Well I bet that I wouldn't be concentrating well in school anyway worrying about my debt. So it may actually be a good thing to use the time to sell on eBay & pay off the debt. I'm kinda ok with it now. It's not the end of the world. I just don't know how my family & friends will react. Especially my parents.

hhmmmm........I wonder if there's a way to speed up the refund process like calling MK up constantly & ask them to speed it up. But I already told that lady I am in desperate need for the refund to pay for my tuition in September b/c I'm desperately broke. But she didn't give a d*amn. Her attitude was really horrible. She was like: "So What!" I can't remember her exact words but she said something like, "that's too bad!" She sounded very insensitive & even rude on the phone. I hope that the next time I call it'll be a nicer MK employee.

Awaken:

I seem to recall conversations in the past about returning stuff that isn't in boxes- I think someone else had a whole bunch of eyeshadows that she had been using for display, and didn't have the boxes - just the little plastic sleeves they went in.
I think she returned them and got her money back - but my memory is fuzzy. I seem to remember other people saying that MK has to return your money for unused product.

Does anyone here know for sure? I tend to think that she's just using that as an excuse to stop you from returning those items.

I'd go so far as to say they probably receive training on how to keep people from returning too much.  Boo
