I called today to get my amount to send back and asked about the free stuff.  They said it is based on the dollar amount so since I did sell some stuff and want to get the amount close to the amount they gave me, i can send back the free stuff to count towards that.  I just don't want to send it back and get zilch for it.

Also I was able to call the 1800 number (rather than the long distance number) to talk to the repurchase department.

:ty: to everyone!!  I'll post on the other board when I get my check!

She turned me in.  I had posted the ad before I ever talked to her and she apparently sent it to MK.  I went out of town and wasn't able to take it down until two days ago.  I got the letter today.  It says I need to take it down and write them a letter complying.  Is there any way they can know that it is mine? (my director knew because of the city) Will they still take back the product?  I took the ad off craigslist when I called and got them to send the repurchase paperwork.
She really disgusts me.  I want to tell her off in the worst way.

I would just send them a letter saying you have removed the ad and you won't do that again.

Then I would return my product.  If they didn't terminate you in the letter I would think you can still return product.  I think if my director called me after that, I would have a hard time keeping my cool!   :nuke:

I don't have any personal experience in this area, does anybody else on the board have an opinion or a similar experience?

Good point branmuffin: how DO they know that was you if you didn't list any personally identifying info?  Hmmm.

Anyhow, I'd send the letter explaining that you thought that since you purchased the MK products for *your* business (since you're an "independent" consultant and not an employee, and since your SD touts that you're your own boss...) that you own them, so you thought you could do with them what you saw fit.  Tell them you put it up before talking to your SD and then found out it was a no-no, then went out of town but had every intention of removing it upon your return, and that you have taken it down.

Such contraditions  :nutzo:.  You're your own boss, you're "independent", you own your own business, IF you agree to play by MK's rules.

Bran I have to apologize because I almost feel partly responsible.  I suggested (in another thread) that you first sell everything at your cost - 50% + shipping/tax, to try to recoup it at a higher rate than MK repurchase gives.  I gave that advice based on my own experience and what worked for me.  I didn't mean to jeapordize your repurchase option.  I'm really sorry it turned out so badly.  I guess with a watchdog (SD) hunting you down and looking over your shoulder, who's mad that you want out, it wouldn't be so easy to blend in online.  I sincerely apologize and won't give that advice out anymore.  It is what I did and it worked for me, so I was just trying to help.  Oops.    :doh blushing :hugme:

I have to add: What a &!#@# for turning you in!!  You'd think she'd just ask you about it directly before doing that.  Usually SD's try to talk their people into staying in or at least pretend to have some concern.  I got lines like "Let's sit down together and make a plan for you to work your business - when you're ready to do that I'm here for you.  Selling it all at retail will get you much more money than sending it back. Bla bla bla...".   :wtf:  As if I hadn't been trying to make it work.

What a queen B! Guess your director shouldn't be surprised when you send it all back!

I would be sure I sent all my product back so that your director has to pay her commission back on the products you return!

What a hose beast!  :hit8: :hit8: :hit8:

I am sorry she 'turned you in...' but like LJ said, what are they gonna do?  Send the pink police after you?

Just send it back.  If they haven't terminated you, they HAVE to honor the Consultant agreement and give you your 90% refund!

Thank you all for your support and the laughs!

RTP - Don't feel bad.....I shouldn't have told her I even was thinking about it (the only reason I did is b/c I had mentioned it to my recruiter the day before and I know she told the SD).

I called and left a message with the legal dept but didn't get a call back.  I'll try Monday.  I thought about denying it since there was no way they could know it was me.  But I've come to the conclusion that it will be better to be honest and tell them what really happened (about going out of town).   :ooops:

My SD really did piss me off though.  I think the worst part is that she sent me an email the day after she turned me in asking for one of my leads phone numbers.  I emailed it to her yesterday and then got this sweet letter today.  What a backstabbing b%#*&%#! It amazes me how manipulative and deceiving she can be.  so sweet when she wants something Sick

They didn't say anything in the letter about terminating me.  It said   "We know that it is your intent by the terms of your agreement and we look forward to receiving your confirmation of compliance in writing at your earliest convenience"  So I guess I am still clear to send it all back.  Thank the Lord!

We shall see.....

Branmuffin...I congradulate you on the way you are thinking this through and handling it.  It sounds like honesty is the best way..usually it makes me feel better too to know I did what was right, even if someone else doesn't.  You have really kept your cool after being treated so poorly.

Hope it all works out and you get what you expect out of your product.  (By the way, I see ads on Craiglist in my area for MK and don't know that they've been "turned in".)

Yes. How do they? Well, they don't.

No, don't do that. Don't give them info. They don't read letters from consultants anyway nor care, from my past experience.

Just get your stuff together and send it back. Do it today. Now.   :teehee:

You know, I remembered something this weekend about that advice I gave at first and why I did it that way.  I forgot to mention that I called the MK repurchase dept ASAP and requested the form and got the $$ amount, etc.  They said the date to have my stuff postmarked by was a month away.  So, I had a whole month to sell to whoever at slightly more than MK repurchase would yield.  oops  :doh  Forgot about that part.  I kept wondering why I would tell anyone to sell off what they could 1st and then it dawned on my as I was reaching for a pear out of the frigde (cuz healthy eating made me think of Sassy_C, which made me think of PLH...).  Anyhow, just thought I'd post that to clear up any misinformation I've dished out to readers previously.  blushing
