PM me?

I'd love to have a quilted fabric handbag but don't really like any I've seen elsewhere.  I have a specific color in mind as well.

Thanks

I know someone here does handbags, but I don't know if she quilts them.  Done, are you there?  Don't you do handbags?

If no one does, I can check with my mom...she does quilts, maybe she'd be interested in doing some for you here...

I sent some pm's, but I guess I will just post here openly. I am starting a handbag/tote/diaper bag business. I have been sewing for over 20 years. I worked mostly for interior designers, but can create almost anything. I decided to start making handbags because I like to make things that I can really show my personal style, and creativity. If anyone is interested, please pm me.

I also make handbags. Not quilted, but felted ones. you can see my post on here about my Millie Fern bags. Also, to the lady who is going to start making bags, you should check out Etsy. It is a site where people who make things can have a "store" and sell your items; it's easy to set up and kind of fun to look around. Etsy has everything from hand made soaps, bath and body, to clothing, crochet, art, photography, pottery, some great jewerly, etc. That's where I have my site. smiley

I'm a bit late here but I noticed that my name was mentioned earlier.......I do make handbags with vintage fabrics and jewelry, but have not had much time for it lately......my ideas normally hit me at inoppurtune times  giggle. Sorry, no experience in quilted bags but love the look of them!  Blueoverpink does excellent work--I have purchased a handbag and coin purse from her--you should check out her etsy site!

Blueoverpink,
Thanks for the heads up about Etsy. I rememebered seeing a post about that site a few weeks ago and I set up an account. I don't have anything listed yet, but hope to soon. I am working on orders right now, and as soon as I get caught up with those, I will have things to list. I will also be taking pictures of ones that I make as I go.
Thanks again.

ME TOO!  Simplicity has a pattern for the bags but I'm hideous with a sewing machine!  I just met someone recently who was selling bags that her mom makes.  I think they were selling for about 20 bucks each.  They were so pretty, she had made them out of a satin type material that was embroidered but of course I need another bag like a whole in the head!  She has a webpage if you want to pm me.
