Hello to all. I am new here but I would like to tell others about my home based businesses. I have 3, my arts & crafts, ebay, and skin care (not mk) and I have a fulltime job. I enjoy what I do.

My arts & crafts is pertaining to making my crafts (quilts, cards, gift tags, bags, etc...) and selling them on ebay. I have made some money, it hasn't taken off yet but it will. I didn't even have to put any money down to start.

My skin care business is with Arbonne. This is a wonderful company that cares about the consultant first. This product is (in my oppinion) is the best skin care that I have found (and I have used practically everything) it moisturizes my skin and makes it soft. I have been with Arbonne a very long time as a consultant, with a few clients. I don't push people into doing things that they don't want, if they are interested in becoming a consultant, I do explain how it works. But I first taking care of the client, and wanting to know how they feel about the product.

I then have a fulltime job working at a hospital in the surgery business office. I register patients for surgery and then check them in the next day.

I love what I do and the day will come when both of my businesses will take off and I will be able to retire early, until that happens I will take things one day at a time and if anyone is interested in knowing how the Arbonne business works you can ask. I would be glad to help out and answer any questions.

I found 3 quotes that I just love:

"If you love what you do, then you fell like you haven't worked a day in your life" and

"Live a good life and in the end it's not the years' in the life, it's the life in the years" and

I was always told "Laughter is the greatest medicine of all"    rofl

Hope that everyone takes each day and live it to the fullest and enjoy yourself!   Jumping

Umm, Sorry, but this board does not promote or support MLMs in general, let alone, Mary Kay's twin, Arbonne.  Boo You're wasting your time if you think you're gonna find some potential recruits here!  pieface

Here's another interesting Arbonne forum to check out.

Arbonne is as bad as Mary Kay if not worse. RUN

You seem really nice but beware - a lot of us used to say we loved our businesses too... because we were told that we loved them.  So, be careful with how much you gush about your business because it is still an MLM and the idea behind this forum is to spread the -truth- about how MLMs work and to help those leaving them through their recovery.

Wow, do we need to write up 12 steps?!

FYI-

Arbonne's complaints are exploding, the company reps are pushing an outright pyramid scam and aren't even trying to hide the fact that there is no selling of the product...and the product itself is horribly overpriced and not at all "natural". Some less expensive brands to try that actually ARE "all natural" are things like Burt's Bees. www.burtsbees.com

MLM sucks, and Arbonne, Mary Kay and Amway are all the same thing.

You all must have been hurt to say the things you do for any company, and by the way Arbonne isn't like mk and isn't a mlm company, it is a network marketing company. all products are botanical based and the products really work, I am proof of that. Life does get better only if you want it to. I love what I do and I won't give it up not matter what people say. Bashing other peoples companies isn't a way to live!!!1

and by the way Arbonne sells more than skin care, we sell makeup, a men & womens anti-aging line, body lotions, aromatheraphy, vitmans, it's the only skin care company that has ever worked for me, so if you don't like the company that is your choice, but some people do.

Bashing MLM companies is the only way to get the truth out there: these companies are scams and the products aren't any better than the stuff you can get at the drugstore.

Arbonne IS A MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING COMPANY. Whoever told you differently is lying, or clueless themselves. Multi-level marketing and network marketing are exactly the same thing. (Just two different terms for the same business)

As far as being botanically based - you can find cheaper stuff that works just as well. Like I said: Burt's Bees. But they are not the only example. The reason that Arbonne products are so terribly overpriced is because it is a pyramid scam, and they have to pay all the different levels for every purchase. Here's a thread from Quatloos about Arbonne (there have been several discussions on that forum about Arbonne lately, but this one is the most recent.)
http://www.quatloos.com/Tax-Forums/viewtopic.php?t=1006065&sid=14c78e392721ee8921e731cded9aa5d3

check it out - we're not all here because we are hurting - some of us just hate scams.

Why are you here Mercedies? I assume that refers to your car. If you are here to read and learn from the real experiences of people who got involved in an MLM, cool. If you're here to recruit, find customers or convince us that MLM is a good opportunity then you are wasting your time.

1. Did you even READ any of the posts here before you joined? Or did you just think that maybe you'd get some ex-MKers to join Arbonne?

2. Arbonne IS MLM. Network marketing is the same thing as MLM. You have obviously not taken the time to educate yourself on the subject. That's what we're here for.

3. Yes, lots of women here have been hurt by the crap that goes on in MK and the many companies like it. Don't try to throw out this statement of yours to try to turn it back on the women here by implying that they have a bad attitude and are just lashing out at other companies because that isn't the case.

And don't take an attitude here. YOU are the one who joined a forum dedicated to exposing Mary Kay and the numerous other MLM companies out there like it, including Arbonne.
