Spring has Sprung!

« on: October 31, 2006, 10:00:02 AM »

Since we've been discussing our favorite authors, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a book swap?

I know I've got some books I'd be willing to trade for some new reading material (of course, I have some I'm not willing to let go too!)

Let me know if you'd be interested and what books you'd like to swap, ladies!

Yes, I would love to do this. I had actually been tossing an idea around in my head regarding magazines. I have lots and it's a shame to recycle them when I know others would love to read them. I take a lot to Drs.' offices, but stilll...

I think it would be good to do this either on a one on one basis or as a chain where you mail two books out, the recipient takes one or both and replaces what they took and forwards it on to the next person in line. Could specify the type of book on the exchange as well, i.e. fiction, non-fiction, etc.

That sounds great, UYC! I've got a huge basket of magazines upstairs at my house as well (and another magazine rack downstairs!) I will havt to make a list of the books and magazines I have later tonight (Actually it will probably be tomorrow because I'm busy tonight)

Man, I love this forum!!

I love that idea too! I ususally send my left over mags over seas, so the troops can catch up on some reading! Just a thought. I will swap books too (are we lending, like a lending library? or trading for good? I will lend, but I would want mine back in the end.....I "collect" books, LOL!!!!)

It could work either way for me. There are certain books I wouldn't miss if they left my house for good and others that I re-read from time to time and wouldn't dream of letting go of! I guess the trader and tradee could work out the terms of swapping for good if they were both interested.

I have a bunch of magazines that I CAN recycle, but if anyone is interested, I'd be glad to pay the media mail shipping so you could enjoy them.

Cooking lights, some everyday food...stuff like that.

Okay...my Xmas party is over and I'm still doing Christmas of course. But Jypsi and anyone else who wants them...you are welcome to my magazines.

PM me with your address if you want any. If I have more than 1 person, I'll just divvy them randomly.

And you DON'T have to use your real name. I'll just address it to PinkLightHouse Member.

(That should be a rule of the board...I'll post that somewhere)
