My stepdaughter currently works in a daycare but with two children, it's not really paying her to work after she pays for their childcare.  She wants to start a daycare at home but doesn't know where to start.  Does anyone know of where I can look for her to find out the laws, etc. on starting a home daycare in PA?

I would start with your local city/town government offices or website.  She'll need to get a business license.  And (at least here in NC) get set up as a day care and inspected.  The health department might be the ones to inspect.  Since I don't live in PA, I don't know the laws.  A lady at my old church had a home daycare and I know she had to get inspected, but that was in NC.

Good luck.

MY friend had a daycare and she made a ton of money. Here in N Y you go to the county cause they are the ones who monitor us. They license you and you also have to take classes once in a while to keep the license.I pay 50.00 a day here for daycare and if I was that special kind of person I would do daycare as well. I could not imagine several kids instead of just my own two.
