ooooh. my daughter is the same. eek. SHe just turned 4.

That's why my husband didn't want anymore kids - dealing with her is so draining. But somebody I know (who has 6 daughters and 2 sons) told me that girls are hell in the 4-8 year old range....but the boys are hell around 16. So I'm hoping that this is just temporary. My daughter is mouthy and bossy too. I swear it came naturally to her. My son is waaaay laid back.

I don't think you can get more than ONE of those super-high-maintainance bossy girls. I predict you'll have an easier time with this one. I bet she'll be such a little peach that you'll be in awe. smiley

It is possible for girls to be laid back and wonderful! My daughter is going to be 7 at the end of this year and she is and always has been fantastic (even at the 2-4 range) My son (who will be 4 at the end of this year) is another story..we call him our wild little monkey man...that kid never stops moving, getting into stuff, destroying stuff, I get tired watching him move. Our last child (a boy) is very laid back like his sister...So I think you get what you get and sex of the child doesn't matter!
Pink Caddy-If you want to be sure of no surprises be sure to use protection for the first four months following your hubby's big V! Those little swimmer can hang around that long! We waited for the "all clear" of the "test" four months after!
Now I wouldn't mind a little surprise...however with my luck I'll be 40 with a 15, 12 and 10 year olds! Ahhh that would not be good!

I'm thrilled to hear you're having a girl! Your daughter is so lucky to have a sister! That is one thing my daughter will never have!

Just from talking to other people I think birth order plays a part of the way they act, everybody I know has the best 1st kid and the wildest 2nd child.  I was just expecting a boy, so I am still in shock!  Good thing I still have a few of my dd cute outfits left, I gave most of the stuff to my SIL when she had twin girls.  I got rid of everything though, so I am pretty much starting from scratch!(my dh said we were not going to have anymore so I believed him!  dumb me!)

Y'all are so funny!  Since TUP has no kids I usually stay away from any post called pregnancy, but had to comment on this one!  giggle

I was the first born and I was the wild one!!  My sister who is a year younger than me was the good one...  rofl

So that next one may be the easy one...   Love Love Love

well I think the consensus is clear - you usually don't get TWO wild ones back to back - I think God makes sure of this so we don't go completely bonkers and kill our kids.
 faint

She'll be great NPH - be sure to post a picture when she's born...i can't wait! It's funny because I absolutely love babies - i just HATE being pregnant!!

sassy he had the vasectomy today, and he's been lying around the house all dramatic-like. I'm soooo not sympathetic. Whatever. I blew a baby out in less than a minute in the front seat of my car - and he's moaning about "soreness". HA But yeah - he said something about having his swimmers tested in 2 months or something....

Pink Caddy, so is your hubby all better now? Don't tell him this but sometimes the first couple of ejaculations for some men can be uncomfortable to painful! Or in the case of my husband  "a little weird but still worth doing" giggle
I hope he's back to his regular self soon with out too much complaining giggle

Nah, I'm not grossed out or offended easily! I'd be happy to descibe my hubbys incision although this might embarrass him so I won't giggle

Where I work patients check their modesty at the door and pick it up on their way out! Not much shocks or bothers me!

I am impressed that you managed to deliver a baby in the front seat of you car! Karma for you! clap
