I'm curious...do you use any of the sites?

I have been tempted in the past, but only for a professional reason or to find long lost friends.

In general, I think most of it is a waste of time and I'm still one of those who just doesn't tell the whole world every detail about myself (something about privacy...) nor do I care what most people had for lunch or what their opinion is on every minute topic.

Just curious if you have any use for them, success, etc.

Actually I use them as another means to keep in touch with friends and family.  Plus, I like all of the fun extras on FaceBook!

I'm on Facebook too! I love it for sharing photos and keeping in touch with my extended family that are all over the country!

I don't do much with the applications that are offered...some are pretty silly.

I'm a Myspacer - have been for a few years.  My profile is private though because I don't need everybody up in my bizness!   :teehee: All my friends are family members from different parts of the country, friends from school, etc. I have two friends from PLH too - PRDiva and DonewithDIQ.

Also, I'm a member of the Sugar Network.  I really like it because there are so many different subsites, groups, etc, to interest anybody.  My favorite subsites are YumSugar (all things food and entertaining), CasaSugar (all things interior design and landscaping), SavvySugar (all things money and career), and PetSugar (all things pet related).  They have a lot of other sides besides these, like PopSugar, BuzzSugar, FitSugar, IDoSugar, LilSugar and on and on.  I have a lot of fun on these site!

My family has a website through myfamily.com to keep in touch, post photos, stories, etc.

I also joined linkedn (?) and have another pending invitation -- not sure what it is about -- supposed to be a professional networking thing...

I am on LinkedIn and it is good for work/professional connections (especially if you are planning on leaving your job and need to have access to vendors and people you worked with...).

It is also good to connect with old classmates.

I've got a myspace to keep up with a few friends who have moved but I really don't check it too often.

I started a Facebook at the prompting of a few members here but I never check it - too much time spent on PLH!!!

I used to be addicted to Myspace. It was for the laughs. You can find the funniest people on there! But I'm more into facebook now. I love to send my friends some flowers and stuff like that. But on Facebook, I have just friends and family. On Myspace, I have people I don't even remember adding. But I love them both.... but yea, they are pretty much a waste of time. Unless you're communicating with family.

I'm a Facebook-er. It just seemed there was too much drama on MySpace for me. I love Facebook though! I like the fact that you have control over most of your information and you can select who is alllowed to view your page through your "Friends" list. I play Scrabble there and it keeps me connected to my slumni group, friends from college and other friends.

Yes, I didn't like the drama on Myspace either. I can't even begin to list them.   :drama:
